Didn't he win against Querry last year on clay?

Likes playing the Yanks!

Fantastic. Will Andy play in the doubles tomorrow? I hope so.

I'm not sure he will. I think it will be inglot and J Murray, considering their playing the Bryan brothers they will probably beat whoever is put before them anyway!

Yeah not sure he will. On yesterdays evidence he wont have any problems defeating Jon Isner either. Amazing from Ward.

Our lads have just leveled things in the doubles after going two sets down.

Deja vu? Just tuned in to see the conclusion of the 4th set. Loving the passion shown by Andy too

What an effort this is against the greatest doubles pairing ever.

Murray a set and a break up against Isner at the moment. Looks like we're going to seal the deal here.

A great team performance this week. They all have tremendous team spirit and belief in the greater goal and it brings the best out of all the GB players. Every single one of them and Leon Smith have to take fantastic credit for what they are doing here.

Gonna be a tough ask against the French though. Who plays for the French? Tsonga?Monfils? Gasquet?

Yup they might also play Simon who runs about as much as Ferrer and is very hard to hit a winner against.

It's going to have to be another monumental effort from the Brits but they have shown they are up for it and will do their best. That's all you can ask, then you see if it's good enough.

Playing at home against France gives us a chance. If it was away, I'd count us out.

So we'll likely play it on grass since this will be taking place just after Wimbledon. Monfils and Simon both have pretty shoddy records at Wimbledon which bodes well. Tsonga of course has pedigree whilst Gasquet on his day is superb.

Doubles wise they have Benneteau who is a superb doubles player and Mahut who is also very strong at doubles. As good as the Bryans are, I think they're past their best and I'd fear a Benneteau/Mahut team more (controversial perhaps). They could throw Llodra in the mix as well.

However, looking at the Davis Cup last year and so far this year, they tend to mix and match quite a bit with singles players playing the doubles quite often. I suppose it depends on form and fitness with them.

Mind you, if they had the choice. I'd definitely go Tsonga and Simon. Although Simon is weaker on grass, I feel he is the least likely of the French lot to go and lose to Ward. Monfils and Gasquet are more likely to have a shocker.

The doubles would be tough. As well as Inglot and J Murray did, all throughout the match there was an unreliability about J Murray's serve and Inglot's groundstrokes. Inglot's serve got them out of trouble as did Murray's volleying on occasions. I can't help but feeling Andy would have to play but with who is the tough one. The Murray brothers could do something special but then serving wise I can't help but worry a little. I do remember Murray and Fleming beating a good doubles team of Bolleli and Fognini last year but Fleming's form has nosedived in recent times.

Decisions to be made but I have faith in Leon Smith to make the right choices. Whatever happens, I could see us getting to a 2-2 final rubber situation. It's lovely to see us competing at this level anyway.

Big win for Heather Watson against Radwanska in straight sets.

Murray not had any problems so far.

Aye that Watson win was huge against Radwanska, it will make her realise on her day she can compete with the top players.

Murray won against Kohlschreiber in three sets and goes into the last 16.

Andy won 3 and 4 against Lopez today and almost every aspect of his game clicked. Really getting into some form now and this will be greatly tested when he meets the Serbinator on Saturday.

Andy looks a long way off Djokovic. I don't know what he can do to get near him now.

Nothing he can do, I don't believe he will ever beat him again anywhere outside of Wimbledon. Djokovic is just too fucking consistent and is never injured.

You know what, if Murray got beat by tennis like that shown against Federer today from Djokovic, you just have to doff your cap and say fair play. Murray and Federer are imo, the two most talented players in the world; but the sheer athleticism, touch and control Djokovic has on hard courts, I don't think either now can approach. He's a wonderful player.

Nadal playing at Queens this summer - he has reached the Wimbledon final after his 4 previous appearances at Queens clubs.

Andy through to the Miami Final, he cancelled out Berdych's strengths very well today. Let's hope he can give a good account of himself on Sunday.

He always does brilliantly in Miami, basically his second home anyway.

Playing tennis in the morning for the first time in about 3 years. Could be amusing.
