Gives Murray an even better chance of success but there are still plenty of the big boys remaining in the field yet.

Yeah I fancied Evans against that ponce. What a tournament he's having.

Tsonga up next for Evans. Tough match that, but Evans will be full of confidence right now, so maybe he can pull off another win. I hope so anyway.

Don't want to dampen Evans run because it is a very good achievement but he should have done this far more in his career. Player of his talent should be making more r3/r4 draws and possibly even breaking through to latter stages. On another note, Cilic, Tomic and Tsonga in succession is a mean draw. If he can deal with Tsongas pace like he did vs Cilic, he can beat him.

Tsonga is pretty solid till the QF's at slams, so this will be a massive ask, but Evans is well capable of giving the top guys a hard game these days, so hopefully he can push through this one also.

Evans was a bit of a pillock up until a few years back, but fair play to him, he's knuckled down and is building a decent career for himself that could potentially get better and better. He's wasted a few years, but it looks like he's now got his head down and wants to give it his best shot, and thats all you can ask. Messrs Kyrgios and Tomic should take note.

Oh dear - don't think that was in the script for Murray!

Wide open now?

Losing to the older less talented brother as well..

If this had been Alex beating Murray would be less of a shock....

Oh well, he's human. Been long overdue a shock early exit at a slam. I still think he'll win the Aussie Open at some point.

Dunno how he got beat by Zverev. I watched the first set before I had to put the light out and though Murray lost it, it looked as if he'd get a grip of the situation shortly after and proceed to win comfortably. Big opportunity missed.

Quarter final stages then and its wide open in both events really..

As for the TFF Dream team league:

Overall:

1st Mark F 1107
2nd Wilson's wonders 999
3rd Baker's Ballers 997
4th The Living Geckos 984

Men:

1st Wilson's wonders 638
2nd Mark F 608
3rd The Living Geckos 591
4th Baker's Ballers 549

Ladies:

1st Mark F 499
2nd Baker's Ballers 448
3rd The Living Geckos 393
4th Wilson's wonders 361

I seem to be in danger of winning this although will lose one of my 3 men left with Dimitrov and Goffin facing each other.

Got Konta and Mugga left in the ladies.

Lee suffered with the top 2 going out so only has Raonic and Serena left in the draw.

Poor Gecko suffered the same fate and now just has Nadal left whilst BB has just Dimitrov and Pliskova in.

I suffered from not having much time to research the draw although I'd have never predicted the top 2 going out. Annoyingly, it's the women who have let me down with most of the top seeds flopping.

Hoping for Nadal to win the men's tbh, the Federer love-in is nauseating. Not that I'm fond of Nadal and his OCD or his procrastinating, but if Federer were to win the media and fan wankfest will be unbearable.

Agree about Serena, she is too strong for her sister now though I prefer the latter by some distance.

You just want Nadal to win because he uses the same doctor as Barcelona and the Spanish national team when he fancies injecting performance enhancing drugs into his penis.

No surprise to see younger sister win pretty comfortably.

Rafa can win this one. He deserves one after his injuries. Federer can end on a winning Wimbledon note this or next year please.

I do feel for him, its a bit reminiscent of Tiger Tim hitting the ballgirl at Wimbledon as it was clearly not meant; however it was exceedingly dangerous, and we'll take it!
