Peaked at 36.7C at Heathrow today, which is the hottest July day since records began. :bl::bl:

Slightly more bearable up in Scarborough in the mid 20's.

Love this weather because it means I can wear shorts and who doesn't love wearing shorts.

The heating in my work is blummin solar powered I swear. The AC doesn't work and there's no fans in my bit. I'm sweating like Gary Glitter in Mothercare, I must absolutely howl.

Last night was unbearable. Room in the loft with loads of insulation and a tiny window. Reckon it must have been about 30 in there when I got home from work at midnight.

One shouldn't really complain but it really is a little bit TOO HOT. Yesterday was PERFECT

Also, I have run out of gin and this is quite distressing

If you think your days were bad here's a thought... I was working on the tenth floor with my stores in the basement. That's 11 flights of stairs ffs. At about 2 I packed it in and went to the park for a Magnum Classic and small box of grapes. It's the little things.

Spent two and a half hours driving back in a van with no aircon with two of the worst people on this planet. Had better heatwaves.

Today was not too bad. I started my new job in Western Paris and took a train early. Course it's a bank so I have to wear a suit (or at least something that resembles one) but the heat was not too bad in the open space however the canteen was mayhem.
The train back wasn't bad either. AirCon an all.

This type of heat can fuck off though. You can't go running in this weather!

I've just read online that parts of Spain got temps of 44c earlier in the week. I'm pleased we don't get that sort of heat in the uk. 32c here today and that was far too hot.

Just started to rain here, which is nice.

I'm sprawled out on a big bed, which I have all to myself because the missus is on holiday; window wide open and an upright fan blowing cool air into my face. Bliss.

Might 'av a wank, too. Treat myself.

Woah, not sure about that. This is not wanking weather.

It's so hot I actually just ate a SALAD for dinner (Greek fyi - topically combining the twin themes of HEATWAVE and DEBT CRISIS)

Kinda longing for a thunderstorm but no sign yet...

It's just started to thunder & Lightening, so I'm going to hold off on the tugging, for now.

Don't wanna create excessive static electricity and fry my pecker to oblivion.

We had electrical storms for over 2 hours last night with some spectacular lightning strikes. Switched off the telly to watch.
