Rob Shep started yet another attack on Bolton with his fantasy bollocks comments
Then you as the sheep followed him. No club are bringing more in today than they are spending, but teams like Salford have owners who are making hell of lot more money than it is costing them to run the club.
I have no clue if Tranmere are financially prudent or not......I am just replying to comments Tranmere fans are putting out on here about what Bolton are spending nothing more.....just admit like me you have no clue on other clubs finances

Like sheep? Haha no disrespect to Rob Shep but I never even saw his comments! And no Tranmere fan ever mentioned Bolton! If you go on the last page something got mentioned about Salford and then you came in with “Tranmere’s outgoings are far more than their incomings”

I have no idea about your finances apart from that we’ll be bringing in more revenue at the moment from the cups and TV money than you. I had forgotten you were on the box the other night to be fair but that will still be a lot less than if we make the 3rd round of the cup.

Anyway. Moving on...

We beat Chesterfield and Northampton with 10 men so have done it before in recent years, Northampton we were actually losing when Legge saw red!

Northampton just launch long balls though so easier to defend against I guess when sat back.

One of those games but we have a chance to put it right tomorrow, had we held on we’d go top tomorrow with a win but still a chance to beat Scunthorpe and set a huge game at Newport on Saturday where we could overhaul them.
That Chesterfield game was the season they got relegated so we just about saw them off. It took quite a special goal to do it!

I suppose we hung on against FGR too although we were 1-3 up with 3 minute of normal time to play and ended up clinging on for dear life.

I just don't know why we completely collapsed back after the red on Saturday. It was obvious we wouldn't be able to hang on.

I do love Askey but I do blame him as much as Joyce for the defeat on Saturday. His greatest limitation in my opinion is his substitutions and the general lack of effect they have when plan A is out of the window. Micky Adams used to just bring strikers on until we ended up playing 4-5 up front for the last 5 minutes at times.

There's no doubt in my mind that Tranmere could not have won that game but for the red card. And at 2-0 up and down to 10 men with 40 minutes left we'd have still been clear favourites with the bookies. We got it horribly wrong.

All our clubs f8nancial statements are freely available and so are most of yours. Facts speak for themselves.

I did mention Bolton because he is forever mentioning us as a defence for their overspending history. A quick look at both clubs financial statements puts all of his garbage in the bin for him to dip into at his leisure. Sadly its hard to dry your tears on a screen.

The main issue Saturday was being over run in midfield once down to 10. They’ve some decent players in midfield and with the 3 man central midfield we were able to control game and shield the back 4. Once Joyce is off you just had Conlon and Burgess against their 3 and that threw the game play out the window. We don’t play 4-4-2 for that exact reason (we were more open than a hookers legs against Carlisle doing that)

The only player that can allow us to even try and play 2 in the middle is Manny but we shoved him up front! (Although he did hold it up well)

Frustration was the immense character to recover from conceding 2 to going ahead again and battling so well to make such an error (from arguably the best centre half at this level). At 3-2 Tranmere didn’t seem to threaten much there after and seemed to have run out of ideas. In fact we had the best chance to score at 3-2 when Conlon took it wide when it was easier to cut onto his right and slot it home from the penalty spot area.

It was a good game though, two good sides full of controversy, goals and both sides battled very hard and were full of effort. Just a shame we came out the wrong side of it but up to us now to try and win tomorrow and all of a sudden it’s forgotten.

I have no idea, but I suppose he means over that 20 year period you accumulated £185m of debt. Whether that is true, I don’t know.

But there’s this from The Guardian in 2013 so not far off

Bolton Wanderers have admitted their debts have grown to a staggering £163.8m, with £50.7m haemorrhaging during the 12 months to June 2013. It raises fears that the club may follow Leeds United and Portsmouth into financial crisis’

Read your club accounts. The fact is that you accumulated massive debts. It doesn't matter who they were to it matters that you had them. Do not talk about any other clubs finances when yours can build them at the rate you do. Bankruptcy is what you deserve.

Don't waste your time. They are in this division because they have been run like a fantasy football team where money isnt a real thing for years. Using TRFC ( biggest ever debt £6•5m) as a comparison shows how out of touch with reality he is.

When its put like that in scare mongering terms....yes it looks like a club will never return
Bury went out of the league with dept at a fraction of this.
Macclesfield debt was even less
How can a club that owes 185m survive??

You cannot Answer its pretty well known who the money was owed to
No you cannot answer. If i owed my mother £1,000 it doesnt matter that its to a relative. It matters that i had the need to borrow that money in the first place. Overspending causes debt. That is what the point is. Its not who you owe the money to its how and why you owed it. Is everything difficult for you to understand.

Wish he hadn't wiped it tbh.

Thought you looked a decent side though, especially first half. A lot sharper then us, well organised and clinical when we fucked up. .

We definitely have a decent squad, although it’s lacking pace, we need Maynard to start scoring. He looks very unfortunate to have his goal disallowed on Saturday to be fair.

yes but if your mother borrowed £1000 of herself then charged herself 10% interest and did this for ten years who would have to pay the money back?????????????

I’m sure I answered it a couple of posts ago. You racked up debts of over £162m. Whatever you spin that it’s the price you paid (or, rather, other people paid) to falsely keep you in the PL for a bit.

The consequences, of course, are you are now down with the dead men.

Here is one for you then idiot. In 2017 you had £202m of debt written off yet still owed £5m. That is up from £150m in 2015. £52m down the toilet in 2 years. When the latest takeover happened you had debts of £35m. £30m down the toilet in 2 years. Your new owners borrowed £40m after the takeover was completed so presumably they will reduce your overspending to a decent amount. Its clubs like yours that made the salary cap necessary not clubs that live within their means or have manageable debts.

We were in administration in 1982 with debts of well under what you were losing monthly at your peak. Even Real Madrid havent managed to lose money on the scale you do and they are a basket case with more leeway than any other sports club on the planet.
