Fixtures for the top non-league sides are released at 13:00.

Who do you want for your first game?

I don't care!

One of the other favourites to get it out of the way early in the season and hopefully have a big crowd

Anywhere away for me please. I reckon we'll take a four figure following to most places (maybe all bar Torquay and Yeovil?) on the opening day. Absolutely chomping at the bit for a Town away day.

Couple of seasons back in the big time and Grimsby have found 7/800 new away fans

We always get Dover away. Are they playing this season or what?

We have never taken many to your place for some reason, but do usually travel well because most of us have left North East Lincolnshire and dotted ourselves around the country. Therefore having a large exile following.

I've been to a game between us at Dagenham or wherever it is you play, only about 150 of us that day. We lost and it rained.

Not officially at our place as even with the full away end opened up (talk last season that would apply for Barnet, Notts County, Stockport and Wrexham) I believe it will be around 800 capacity. Having kept an eye on away threads in the past I know Grimsby always travel really well in comparison to home crowds so would expect us to give you the full allocation.

Southend away first up for us would be carnage, but I suspect we'll end up with someone like Eastleigh at home.

We always seem to be away first game of the season, I’m expecting one of the northern tinpotters like AFC Halifax or Altrincham.

No offence but Southend vs Wealdstone will be 'carnage' - really?

Have a feeling we will either get Dover away or have the blank spot - although I suppose it's better having the blank spot first up than last up.

We’re probably at home first day as Forest are away.

By our standards, yes. Truro away to end the season a few years back was similar.

I was more of the thinking he meant the possibility of a sunny day getting pissed up by the seaside and not actually remembering the football at all.
Or am I missing something and Wealdstone have started going on mob handed raids during away days?

Absolutely the former.

We took 800+ to Crawley on the opening day of Non-League V1.0 and that was when morale was fairly low. Everyone's buzzing and raring to go this season, plus obviously the lack of away games over the last year will play a part in boosting numbers. Have taken 2,500+ to an opening game in the last five years, so it's certainly not outlandish to suggest we can take four figures.

usually a long distance game 1st up - we've played Notts Co, Chesterfield, Wrexham, Hartlepool, Wrexham, Barrow, Halifax since being back up.
So Wrexham are due again :)

I have to admit that take away the sunny day and seaside bits and that sums up several away games for me over the years. Ah the excitement of waking up on Sunday and checking the scores to check the result even though you went to the game.

That’s anyone guess. What was the fine they got again? 3 points and £15 and I’m sure they appealed that. Never forget people

Yeah, I joined the membership scheme that gives me first dibs after season ticket holders just in case we have any away/cup games that we might potentially sell out.

I was hoping for a good away game first up so I’ve just checked my work rota and I’m working the first 2 Saturdays of the season. :(
So something crap home and away first 2 weeks like Dover Eastleigh or Boreham Wood will do just fine.

Surely away to us on a Saturday in August is the jackpot all you northerners dream of?

I'm hoping for the blank fixture personally We have such a short break due to the play-offs that an extra weeks preparation would be most welcome.

Too short notice & too expensive in August. September after the schools have gone back or right at end of the season better.

Southend fans are new to the division; imagine the scenes when they're faced with hundreds of Wealdstone fans explaining the size of their budget at them

Halifax away first up as always for us. We will get Southend away Boxing Day as West Ham are at home for the first time ever on Boxing Day at their new stadium, police won’t have both games in the area at same time so it means the return part will be at ours New Year’s Day. The local southern Christmas fixtures all pick themselves, surely the league can’t mess this up….

Although I am very much in the minority I wouldn't go to your place again if you paid me. The reason for this dates back many years when a Friday evening game was called off less than 10 minutes before kick off. To make matters worse the stadium announcer told fans in the ground that the game would now be played on the Saturday - THIS WAS A LIE and even though Saturday morning brought fine weather there was never any plans to play on the Saturday.
