I've sent a list in. Done it off the top of my head so probably missing some really obvious ones.

Fate has it that my favourite Bond actor did his movies in the 80s...

Arguably the best _80s_ film*, but also the 3rd or even 4th best De Palma film of the decade.

*I'd have a certain Hoskins Thatcherite fantasia slightly above it, but I'd be willing to concede the point.

Panicked for a minute that. Groundhog day was an 80s film... Thankfully it was 93

Three more lists in today, we're on 134 nominated films so far. List is starting to take shape now. Cheers to all who have sent one in so far.

I've had 16 lists in so far, which is plenty enough to make a top 100. More lists would be welcome though. Deadline is midnight Saturday and I'll start the countdown on Monday.

Definitely. People took the time to nominate their favourites so all nominated films will be getting a mention. I'm thinking brief synopsis and imdb link up to 101, more expansive synopsis and poster 100 to 51 then the works for 50 down to 1.

There is no way I can get this list down to a top 20! I have about 60 films on my list currently and can't think about chopping any of them out, and thats without even trying to rank them, arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Anyone remember this one btw, it was the first VHS video I remember us hiring after we got our Ferguson VCR.

Yes! Loved Beastmaster!! What a film! Was Tanya Roberts in that too? :hail: . I know what you mean about chopping some films out...any of my Top 10 could easily be number 1 on a given day. Too many epic films to choose from!

Just get them picked and handed in, if some good ones miss out then its just how it is.

Then do I go for the fun ones I enjoyed or some of the greats of that era - decisions, decisions!

When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we'll see
No I won't be afraid
Oh, I won't be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me.

I did a mix of both saltire. Some were classics I enjoy but also them which are poorer rated, but I watch alot more than the classics. My no.1 is classed a classic film, but was fully based on the fact I could watch it any time, anywhere, numerous times and it never bores me even though I know the entire film in my head.

The King Of Comedy
Poltergeist
The Empire Strikes Back

To name a few

You can tell just how fucking tough that was.

Thank go for it now being 20 as this was near impossible.

I've 9 of my top 10 certs based on films I loved or still love and can watch time and again (rather than being out and out classics, but afew are)

but I now have to find 11 more from this lot.

Empire of the Sun
Tron
Big Trouble in Little China
Return fo the Jedi
The Wrath of Khan
the Princess Bride
The Terminator
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Die Hard
A Fish Called Wanda
Batman
the Burbs
Flight of the Navigator
Good Morning Vietnam
throw Momma from the Train
National Lampoon Vacation
Robocop
Stripes
Back to the Future
Back to the Future 2
Ghostbusters
the Running Man

oh dear and then when finally have the 20 do some sort've order.....and I've still missed a load of classics
I love loads of those films and only 1 made my top 20. I still can't believe I forgot about Stripes. An absolute 'Son of Bitch, Shit!' doing that.

"You just made the list, buddy. And I don't like nobody touching my stuff. So just keep your meat-hooks off. If I catch any of you guys in my stuff, I'll kill you. Also, I don't like nobody touching me. Now, any of you homos touch me, and I'll kill you."

Edit:I've actually had to edit my list due to me totally forgetting about this film.

I also think there are 2 films in my list that no one else/or certainly most will have thought of, watched or even heard of. We'll see.
