Yeah, loads have come to me since I sent my list in just over an hour or so ago.

I've made my one and only edit though, and am now satisfied with my top20, despite some amazing films missing out.

I did a mix of both saltire. Some were classics I enjoy but also them which are poorer rated, but I watch alot more than the classics. My no.1 is classed a classic film, but was fully based on the fact I could watch it any time, anywhere, numerous times and it never bores me even though I know the entire film in my head.

Yeah I think I'll limit my list to 10 greats and 10 I loved like Bachelor Party which is a load of rubbish really but I used to watch it hundreds of times growing up.

Just sent in a list. Apologies as it's mostly cheesy 80's horror :D

List submitted, here are some of those I had to leave out! :(

Terminator
Highlander
Total Recall

E.T.
The Burbs
The Thing
Big Trouble In Little China
Scarface
Full Metal Jacket
The Running Man
Rambo : First Blood
Rocky III & IV
Tron
The Untouchables
Big
Airplane!
Raging Bull
Caddyshack
The Shining
Batman
Gremlins (yes, Gremlins!)
The Goonies
Hellraiser 2

Excalibur
Pale Rider
Any Which Way You Can
Cannonball Run
The Colour Of Money
Gandhi
My Neighbour Totoro

7 of those made my list. Most of the rest were given serious consideration...

Neither of the 2 animated ones got close, even though I love both My Neighbour Totoro and Grave Of The Fireflies.

Weekend At Bernies I totally forgot about.

Shame on me.

Yeah Bernie's was one of those silly films that you'd probably only half-laugh at now, but at the time it was hilarious. In my list I've chosen a few films that are pretty ropey now but have I good memories about, so maybe some are sentimental picks. This isn't supposed to be about the greatest films of the 80's I wouldn't say; more about the joy we felt when watching them back then.

Saltire, I'm glad that Ran is on someone else's "consideration list"! Such an epic film. It just missed out on my top 20 but would have made the top 30 for sure.

I like how everybody seems to be struggling with this list more than they do with an all time favourite movies list. As if the all time favourite movie lists don't include all of these films plus every other film ever released.

Sure, ok, so you only get 10 this time, but still... it's odd :fl:

Yeah I'm a big Kurosawa fan having seen most of his more famous films, and Ran was a true epic. Also got Kagewusha from him there to watch yet too which was made in 1980. May watch it this week in fact.

Good stuff mate. I can imagine how much work it involves having run Sheep seasons in the past.

Doing Lists, all the write ups,IMDB stuff involved with this easily eclipses what it takes to run a season of Sheep.

Kudos mate.

Kudos mate.

Also doesn't help when someone sends in a list with a film NOT from the 80's on there....!

Top Gun didn't make my list btw, despite my seeming affection for it in this latest round of Sheep.

Ok, I seem to have misplaced two nominated films.

I'm not going through everyone's lists again and I'm confident it isn't one of the top 100, so if you notice one of your selections missing at the end then let me know and I'll put it right.

We had 160 films from 22 lists in the end. 158 will feature on this list due to my balls up.

In the event of more than one film receiving the same amount of points the film on most lists will be deemed a higher entry on the list. In the event of same points and same amount of lists then it will be a dead heat for that spot.

So without further ado.

Joint 83rd all at the bottom of one list.
Shogun Assassin (1980) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081506/?ref_=nv_sr_1

The Abyss (1989) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096754/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Lolita Vibrator Torture (1987) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0291317/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

Field of Dreams (1989) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097351/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Bachelor Party (1984) - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086927/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Entries will be posted in more detail as the list progresses of course.

Hanks did his best work in the 80's, no danger.

I expect most of my top 20, will be in or around the actual top 20.
I have 2 however that I expect will feature on my list and no-one else's.
