Thought this would be a fun to look back on at the end of the coming season, it might be a little early to predict with many clubs still looking to bring players in, easily update your prediction as things change.

For me...

  1. Chelsea
  2. Arsenal
  3. Man United
  4. Man City
  5. Liverpool
  6. Spurs
And bottom...

  • Bournemouth
  • Norwich
  • Watford

I just think with Chelsea making a few decent signings, as long as they start sharply with no hangover from last season they could go the distance again, though this coming season will have Arsenal snapping at their heels most of the way with 1st and 2nd swapping around a few times before Chelsea pull away (though not as much as last season)

I don't think United will be as grand as some of their fans think, they'll dig out some ugly results which is something they're good at and get 3rd. City with an ageing squad and struggling to bring in English talent will just scrape into the top 4 after a dog fight with Liverpool for the second half of the season.

It's a tough choice between Villa and Watford for the drop, West Brom could easily be in the mix along with a couple of other teams. Though I think all the teams promoted last season will be going straight back down again.

I really don't think Liverpool will get in the top 4, or even top 6, obviously, I don't think their signings are that good and I don't think Rodgers has learnt his lessons tactically.

Villa
Sunderland
Leicester

Tough one this, I'm being a bit of a hipster as I didn't want to pick the 3 promoted sides to go down but I don't rate Tim Sherwod as a manager and I can see Benteke going, Sunderland just have an awful squad and I fancy Leicester to struggle for goals.

But really I think 2 of the promoted sides will go.

Chelsea at a canter again for me, Arsenal won't challenge them this season but fancy them to put a lil gap between themselves and the Manchester clubs.

Bottom three, I fancy B'mouth to try to play the same kind of football which worked so well for them in L1 & the Champ, with much lesser effect. Can see a drubbing or 5 for them this season, most likely finishing rock bottom. Norwich won't have enough thankfully.... then it's a toss up for me between Watford Villa and Sunderland... plucked for Villa on no real basis.

Chelsea top. Any permutation of United, Arsenal and City to make up the rest of the top 4. A lot is dependent on how the transfer window goes - at this moment in time I'd say Arsenal are best placed to get second but United and City haven't really started their business yet. Spurs and Liverpool 5th and 6th, I'd fancy Liverpool ahead of Spurs at the moment, we'll have to see who Spurs buy/sell.

No idea about the sides to be relegated yet.

Depending on how we start and how the new players gel, a top 4 challenge at United's expense is certainly possible. I doubt it will happen though. The quality is there on paper, but it's another summer of too many changes having to be bedded in too quickly.

Chelsea has a good squad to get the title again. And I think Arsenal also can have an alright season. Manchester City and United can even end up higher than what I ranked but for now I think they can be good but not as good for the first position. And then come Tottenham and Liverpool with luck.
And the bottom I don't know but I'd also say Norwich, Watford and Bournemouth by now.

3 seasons in a row people have been predicting us to drop. I don't see it happening still, last season I thought we were gone and I actually agreed with people, now, I think we'll build on our side finally as it looks like we may actually have a few pennies to spend, so I reckon we'll consolidate in a comfortable mid table position to be honest.

I think you'll be fine under Sherwood. At least for this season anyway.

Basically what I just said  we'll be comfortable this season in a mid table position imo. Also, if and it's a big IF the takeover finally goes through, we could see significant reinforcements coming in in January.

Reckon you're gonna struggle bro. Sherwood is a one trick pony and an absolute implosion waiting to happen, rumour has it you'll be losing Teke, Delph & Vlaar too. The squad is pretty pish as it is.

It's a tough league this season. Outta the likely candidates

Sunderland - Dick will make them stronger. No drop
Newcastle - Ashley sounds like he's prepared to spend now, big improvement in coaching set up No drop
Bournemouth - They'll piss this league, 'surprise' package. No drop
Lesta - Might be in trouble, someone like Fat Sam would keep em up. Wait & see
WBA - Pulis. No drop
Watford - Anyone's guess. Odds on downer
Norwich - Have some decent players, good momentum emanating about the place, will be tough to beat at Carrow Rd. In the mix for the downer
West Ham - Always the propensity for the foreign manager with his exotic signings to flop. Can't see it though. No drop

Reckon someone mental could end up in trouble given the lack of obvious fodder. Everton maybe? They've made some decent acquisitions but Martinez has form. Have a feeling Southampton won't be anywhere near as good this time round too.

As things stand you're my 'dead cert' for the drop. I've never previously tipped you to go down either.

WATFORD
Newcastle fans might be a bit worried given they haven't got anyone in and the fact they had such a poor run although they might put that down to the management they had..and of course there is time for new players.

Might be interesting to see how the sudden change in management works at Leicester given Pearson was popular with the squad.

Us 3 promoted side can scores goals but not sure about the defensive side of things..

As for the top - I expect all 3 of Man City/United and Arsenal to be closer to Chelsea and Liverpool will improve with a fit Sturridge.

Worried we haven't signed anyone yet but not worried about going down. We've finally got a manager who will allow the more talented players to express themselves, rather than sending them away loan and playing no-mark cloggers in their place like Pardew did. We've upgraded the coaching staff too.

We need players (as many as 10 imo) before the season kicks off though.

The Benteke money can be used to bring in some reinforcements. I honestly don't think Delph is leaving either, obviously a very goof chance of him going, but there we are. Vlaar is welcome to leave, Clark and Okore are by far and away our best defenders. Worth noting that Vlaar has gone from our squads page on the website too. The players we are looking at are looking decent, we're looking currently at a team next season that will look like this:

TBC
Richards Okore Clark TBC
Delph (or TBC) Gueye
TBC Grealish Agbonlahor/TBC
Benteke/TBC

I don't deny that we need a lot, but we seem to be spending a fair amount of money compared to usual as is, I and other Villans get the feeling that we're already spending the new owners' money. We shall see though, I don't deny that we very well could drop, but I don't think we'll be in major danger this season.

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
Ourselves, Leicester and Watford for the drop.

At this moment in time I think we'll be relegated, but I know we're far from done on the transfer front so it's something that'll need reassessing (for all clubs) in August. If we play the same ultra attacking style then we'll need to improve the players we have in defence. And if we adjust our style to give the defence more support, that's going to take some adjustment by the rest of the squad.

I'm sure we'll take some hammerings, but it doesn't really matter if you lose 1-0 or 5-0 against Man City and Chelsea. It's the games against the other bottom half sides that are important.

Norwich are the best placed to stay up as it stands now.

At the top end of the league , I'd only be parroting what the mass media feed us, I can't give any knowledgeable insights there. Chelsea probably still too far ahead, but 2nd could be a lively battle.
