Strong Spurs line up, got a feeling Newcastle will give them a decent game though.1-1.

Newcastle giving someone a decent game on the road is wishful thinking considering their goal-difference in away games this season is the worst in the league, -15. An easy Tottenham win.

We usually do ok at WHL. Can't see it this time with Spurs being 14 games unbeaten in the league. We might get a draw, what with them being 1 point specialists, but a loss is far more likely.

I really don't like how Newcastle play their two best players out of position on the wings.

It's even more perverse when you consider that Newcastle only look like a competent team going forward when Sissoko and Wijnaldum link up, but they're played as far from each other as possible.

Yup. We got Gini central 4 times against Liverpool and he made something happpen each time, scoring one. Dunno why we persist with it.

Elliot shitting himself twice in a minute. And fuck me he's sweating a lot for a bloke who stands about for most of the game.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's pissed himself too but it's hard to tell.

Anyone else loving the fact that "NEW" is in pink on the scoreline in the top corner.

I know you are Steve.

He always looks like he's wearing eye liner to me.

De Jong is utterly pointless.

EDIT: He's not playing in midfield or as a striker. He's just there.

Same story when Perez plays there though. It's a fault with the system rather than the individual. We've got 2 very deep lying midfielders and 2 central players out wide, also usually too deep. Forwards 40 yards further up the pitch. Nobody to link the midfield to the attack. Sissoko should be used centrally as he'd murder teams on the break with his pace and power, and Gini should be the link man. Trouble is there's no confidence in Thauvin to play out wide and he's our only winger other than Obertan and Aarons. One is shit and the other is constantly injured.

I agree you need to more Wijnaldum to the centre, I'd probably then move Perez outwide. It's not his best position, but he's the best option you have.

Coloccini is up there with Jean Alaine Boumsong and Titus Bramble for me, absolutely atrocious defender, can't believe Williamson get shit loads of stick but barely any for Coloccini

Coloccini gets plenty of stick. He's finished, Williamson never got started.

You need to dispose of one of Anita and Colback. I know the thought will be that away they're there to handle the pressure, but you've got added pressure to deal with because you don't retain the ball high up the field. So it's having a negative effect in that respect anyway. Added to the fact they're both shit and that's a major concern. One of them with Sissoko playing box to box like he did at Toulouse, Perez left, Wij central, Thauvin right and Mitrovic up front. Think Man City on a budget.

Thinking about it, when Man City were on a budget they were pretty much flirting with relegation every year.
Time for Pulis football!

Anita isn't shit, give your head a wobble. Colback just kicks people, I'll let you have that one.

Agree with the rest though.

That's extremely attacking for a team currently stuck in a relegation battle. With that team your going to have to control possession, it's a big risk.

Keep the two DMs but with a creative player ahead of them and two fast wingers and counter, once they get a bit more stable and confident you can look at ways to push on.

We don't need 2 DM's, nobody does. 4-3-3 with the ball 4-5-1 without. Spurs are showing why the system is flawed today. They're always 4 or 5 vs 2 in the midfied battle which means we can't get/keep the ball. The amount of 2nd balls they're winning is the give away.

I just can't get my head around his physique. He's got an arse like Gervinho's forehead. How does he run?
