Coutinho would be a very bad signing for Barcelona. Extremely overrated player.
And you guys know all about players being overrated with Ozil in your squad. ;)

£90m Barca bid for Coutinho rejected according to the BBC. Stick another £10m on that and I suspect he'll be gone.
Nope, he's not going. And I'm going to have a whisky to celebrate him being player of the year at the end of the season. :D

Likelihood of Sanchez staying? I just burned my first draft pick on him.

Danny Rose thrown his dummy out about not being paid enough etc.

Aiming for a move?

Think he is injured ATM though

He probably thinks he deserves a raise considering he's a better player than Kyle Walker and is probably earning about a quarter of his wage. He's only on 30k. He's worth a lot more than that.

100% I'd say. Nobody will pay 70odd mill for him cos he's in his final year, and Arsenal need to finish top 4 so they won't let him go for a sum that pales into comparison to CL money.

Stockport County.
Coutinho is desperate to go. Not even training and this "back injury" is total nonsense.

That move will happen.

Brighton have dropped 16m on Jose Izquierdo, winger from Brugge in a new club record deal.

15 goals in 33 apps last season so it could very well be a decent signing. Looks like more of an inside forward than a winger though. He didn't manage a single assist but I suppose those goals kind of cover that well enough.

Annoyingly, I agree with this. FSG won't turn down 120m, assuming Barca go that high.

I'm already going on the assumption Coutinho is going. Which would make our transfer window a huge clusterfuck. We will be starting the season with a worse squad than last season, despite having CL to deal with (assuming we get through the qualifier).

Alonso wanted to leave, Torres wanted to leave, Mascherano wanted to leave, Suarez wanted to leave, Sterling wanted to leave. All of them made public statements regarding this. Also, back then, we weren't especially rich.

Coutinho hasn't made any statement that he wants to leave and our finances are significantly better than at any point of those previous transfers. Coutinho's value won't drop either. We have literally no reason to sell until he hands in a transfer request, which he probably would have done by now.

Awesome signing. Little jealous as he'd be a good choice to bring in if we lose Mahrez for the squad.
Only Brugge player to give us any problems in the CL games last season. Fast as fook, would have fit right in here.

The transfer request will come.

Liverpool won't be up shits creek without him but they need to start making waves in this window.

I envisage some panic buying...

Liverpool should demand Suarez back as part of any deal.

That will either put Barcelona off or surprisingly be of some intrigue to them seeing as Suarez isn't getting any younger. Perhaps Barcelona might want to build a team for the future around Mr Coutinho and that Dembele lad from Dortmund.

Liverpool should definitely try their hand...

And while they're at it they might as well throw in a cheeky fiver for Messi.

Messi, Suarez and Neymar is done. It's finished.

Barcelona need to move in a different direction now. They are clearly going to be playing second fiddle to a superb Madrid team this season and even the next few. They must think of the future now...

Didn't he recently say about he would go if it could be done amicably? It won't be too long before he upgrades that.

This is some proper mind reading from you lot.
Having read your mind, I sense anxiety, despair and a clinging onto the last embers of hope. Don't worry Bilo, Lanzini will be suiting up as your #10 in a few weeks, all will be OK and life will continue.

I'm not mind reading anything.

He wants to leave and has everything agreed with Barcelona.

I don't know how further he'll go in terms of transfer requests and all that, but he's pretty much refusing to train and self diagnosed a "back injury".

Liverpool can reject any bid of course and force him to stay but when a player wants to go to an extent he does, the deal usually happens.

Expect a very busy last three weeks for all clubs. The window should close before a ball has been kicked in my opinion, I bet most managers agree with that.

You don't seem to have noticed your own mind reading capabilities judging by your first two paragraphs though I broadly agree with what you're saying. He hasn't publicly stated a desire to leave but its only a matter of time IMO.

That the window is open till the end of the month is ridiculous.

Uh-oh, that is a St. Juste-esque multi-quote from Bilo.

He's officially worried.

Pep said something to that same effect earlier on in the window. Then again, Pep had already spent three billion pounds by that point.
