Even Ornstein is reporting it now. He is pretty much gospel for anything Arsenal. Again though, he could be being fed the story by the club. I kind of suspect he is, he even said Story broken by @StuartJamesGNM which to be seems like him trying to shift some of the responsibility when it doesn't happen. Or maybe it's because I don't want it to happen. I'm confused.

Does anyone? Arsenal fans won't want him and we won't want to lose him.

G'waan Big Weng (sorry Ste I know you have that tm'd), do it.

I'd fucking piss myself.

It'd be quite a weird one as he's not the typical arsenally target, but, at the same time they're tight as fuck so maybe he is.

I wonder who wants this transfer not to happen the most? Arsenal or Leicester fans?

You are welcome to use it mate - it needs to gain some more exposure!

Arsenal, please fuck off.

I refuse to believe we're signing Jamie fucking Vardy for £22m. Nope.
That would an absolute bargain in the current market.

Buying a 29 year old for that kinda money is a very un-arsenal thing to do.

Does Jamie Vardy's lookeylikey transfer to Arsenal along with the deal?

Vardy to Arsenal then, for £18m. I'm trying really hard to accept that this is actually happening but I'm struggling quite badly. Somebody convince me this a great signing and he's going to continue his good form and bang in 39 goals in the league next season, please.

Strange - I expected Mahrez or Kante to be the first to go.

Vardy is also a strange signing in that Leicester got the best out of his pace by catching teams on the counter. Arsenal won't do that. He'll be licking his lips at the prospect of playing with Ozil though, I'd expect.

I think he's a replacement for Walcott to be honest. Hopefully there'll be another striker to come in and challenge Giroud.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Twitter twats have started to harass and abuse Vardy's wife.

Which is about as close to transfer confirmation as it's possible to get...

£18m is a good price given how well he did last season. He might only have a couple of seasons left in him at that level due to his age but if he repeats last season's antics just once it's a good buy and could easily be the difference between simply "doing an Arsenal" by finishing top 4 and a league challenge (yeah, don't laugh, I'm aware we're talking about Arsenal here). Of course, it could have been a one off, but thems the chances a team occasionally needs to take.

He's clearly a poke in the eye to the people who claim footballers are as thick as pig shit.

Actually think Leicester would be the biggest winners out of this deal. Not that I don't think they'll miss him, but I just can't see Vardy and Arsenal working out well.

Doesn't seem like Vardy to Arsenal is a good fit, not sure he'd fit into their style of play. Leicester have probably got the better deal out of it though in all fairness, £20M for a 29 year old striker who's had one good goalscoring season in the top flight.
