I have nothing to back this up but with the Griezman transfer falling through and the emergence of Isco under Zidane, I reckon Utd will go in for Bale this Summer.
Although the emergence of Isco has really been dependent on Bale being unavailable, the latter is still their first choice winger. The only reason Real would possibly sell would be due to his injury record, but by the same token that's why United should steer clear. He's not worth the money he would fetch.

Bollocks he is, he never gets a chance to show his quality.
Which is exactly the point.
He's not shit by general footballer standards, but he's fucking shit for the fees that are always talked about or the clubs he's being touted for.
What has he ever done? He's never posted great stats, never broke the first team for any period of time even during injuries, he's been loaned to Juve and not cemented a place or got into double digits. Just what in fuck has the guy done to warrant these fees other than be a product of Real? This is his first productive senior season.
He's a bloody hype train.

Jesus christ do we rate any player on here nowadays?

He's rated because he's a quality player, good in the air, strong, good hold up play, fairly quick and a powerful shot. Anyone who's ever watched him can see his potential. These abilities make it quite likely that his numbers can be explained by always being behind world class talent in the pecking order. He's not a slam dunk by any means but he's a very well rounded forward who could have a high ceiling still.

Given a chance this guy will be a star, he's brilliant. He shouldn't have went back to Real and they shouldn't have sold him in the first place. I'd have him in a heartbeat at Liverpool.

But would you bother to watch him next season ?

We're being linked with signing either Buffon or Marcus Betinelli. Little bit of difference there

I think Levy has relaxed the wage structure - Kane and Vertonghen are on good money and they will need to follow suit with Alli, Eriksen and Alderweireld. I think he would be willing to pay Kane a bit more (maybe £150k range) if he ever wanted to leave. That said, they'll never compete with the other big clubs in this respect. For comparison, Kane got a contract extension last year and is currently earning the same wage as Jesse Lingard. He could probably double, if not triple his wage if he wanted to move.

I believe Kane is our highest earner on £90k a week. Lloris, Vertonghen, Sissoko and Son also are at this level. Alderweireld, Walker, Dembele, Dier Eriksen, Lamela and Wanyama are around the £70k mark. I think Dele is on approx 50, Rose 40.

You can see why we struggle to keep players when other teams offer to double our players wages!

We're linked with Bettinelli, but tell you what, you can have him and we'll take Buffon, thanks.

I'm glad we steered clear of that, provided we do. That's almost double our transfer record on a CB. Fuck knows who we get instead though, we'll probably be looking at a more solid backup to Lovren and Matip rather than find a replacement I reckon. Our defense was fine (as shown at the end of the season) when the two played together, but we were downright awful whenever we missed one of them.

Ebeneezer Goode you like young talents tell us who should we get? Think Joe Gomez before he got injured for an aeon.

Reece Oxford is the obvious one, but I don't know how much it would take to get him away from West Ham. Seems like he's going on loan to Borussia Monchengladbach which is odd in a way, given that they're probably a better side.

The Echo still reporting Liverpool remain confident of bagging him as he remains Klopp's top target. It's not over yet though apparently FSG have been trying to fuck it up by first of all offering £180k a week which was accepted, then returned with £130k a week with 'incentives' to rise to £180k which is when City looked to have got him. It is too much money of course it is, but if he can help cut down on 10-15 goals in the league, Liverpool would be in a stronger position to fully challenge for the title,so it's worth a gamble imo.

Release clause activated for Man City legend Florian Lejeune. £8.7mil. Know nothing about him.

Sign Mbabu. Measured as the second fastest player in the world which fits with Klopps transfer strategy of "sign all the speed merchants". £30mil please.

Now we seem to only be linked with either Bakayoko or Tolisso from Monaco and Lyon.

Hopefully we pick up business when the window actually opens. Last time we won the league and then didn't really strengthen much it didn't work out so well so having so little rumours going about now is a bit worrisome. Especially as we have little depth in some areas

Lyon are an absolute pain in the arse to deal with though so I'm always wary when we're linked with players from there

Alexandre Lacazette agents to meet Reds officials next week

£60m and 200k for VvD is way too much, we should go for Victor Nilsson Lindelöf, he is young (22) and an excellent player and would become a one of the best defenders in the world under Klopp imho.

Also Emil Forsberg should be on Klopp's radar.

I wouldn't pin too many of your hopes on Liverpool signing Lindelöf; United have supposedly been working on a deal to sign him for months with the final details including a medical being arranged as we speak.

Liverpool 1/7 to sign him now. He's going to have a tough time playing for both clubs.

Van Dijk would be a great signing for Liverpool. It'll take a hell of a sell job from Klopp and co to convince him to choose Liverpool over City, though.

Easy enough, work for me he'll say, win the league and become a legend. At City or Chelsea you'd be just another cog. It may be that he fancies working under Klopp more so than Guardiola too.
