Wouldn't mind seeing Gigi in the red shirt. He gets goals from midfield is what we lack in the can's, Hendo etc

Be pretty pleased if this goes through like. Was a waste of space in the second half of the season and if we get the 27M quoted it's be the Carroll deal all over again.

Given the ridiculous prices being splashed around on average players at the moment, it really wouldn't. Saying that though, I really don't want us paying that for him. It's at least £10m too much.

Winning the lottery neither increases or decreases your chance of winning it again and your right it could happen but the odds are still the odds, its exceedingly unlikely.
I bet it's more likely now than it was last season.

For all the stick Liverpool fans (mostly Southerners mind!) gave us over paying 15m for Ibe, they're going to pay well into the 20s for Wijnaldum, who was invisible last season?

Round and round we go, where it stops, nobody knows.

I must have missed all those Liverpool fans giving Bournemouth stick for buying Ibe for £15m.

Wasn't Jordan Ibe meant to be a better prospect than Raheem Sterling according to the very same Scousers?

To be fair Wijnaldum is a far better player than Ibe and despite his disappearing acts last season, still has potential to be a good signing for Liverpool.

They should go for Sissoko as well.

Ah, that old chestnut. I don't recall a single post or comment from a Liverpool fan indicating that. Not to say it didn't happen mind, but the way it's been talked about in recent weeks you'd think every Liverpool fan didn't care about losing Sterling purely because we had Ibe.

None of this makes the £50m we got for Sterling any less funny though.

I wasn't on this forum at the time pal, so I can't comment on what the resident Liverpool fans didn't or didn't say.

I certainly saw comments of that nature made on social media though and I heard them on radio shows also.

Whether, he's as good as Raheem Sterling, I don't know. Right now, he isn't the sort of player I'd aspire to be like anyway, but if given a chance by Pep, Sterling must have something in his locker.

£50m was brilliant on your part, you're right, and only time will tell whether Bournemouth got a bargain or not. If we wasn't going to get first team action under Klopp then it may well be a good deal for all parties.

Given the stupid prices being paid at the moment, £15m for Ibe is decent I reckon. Bournemouth haven't exactly grabbed a bargain, but nor have they been taken the the cleaners.

Yeah I agree. Considering we paid £10M a piece for both Gayle and Ritchie, you can't argue with that.

It's been very long since what Liverpool fans say had anything to do with which opinions are attributed to them. At least on this forum.

This is mostly because Stevencc posts a shitload and has completely given up any ambition to be a decent poster. And to be fair, who can blame him, right.

When Lucas finishes top scorer this season he's gonna come saying I never rated him. You just watch.

All the other Liverpool fans can take a joke but Bilo resorts to crying.

This is what keeps me motivated to spread the truth about some Liverpool fan opinions via direct quotations.

Like this one...

"It's a shame to see Sterling go but at least we got £85m for him and we still have Ibe on the books who, mark my words, will go for at least double that if Real or Barca can ever tempt the lad to leave." - Bilo, 12/7/15

I used to think it was lack of ambition, but it's become clearer in recent weeks that it's lack of talent.

Even taking the inflation of the PL transfer market into account, a 10m increase after the year Wijnaldum had is surprising.
Newcastle will be liking that, Matt Ritchie already paid for.

Yep. I'm hoping that it'll be getting reinvested because I'm starting to worry slightly what with the current state of our defence.
