Our home form is pretty terrible (3 wins, second worst in L1) and 4 out of our next 5 are at home!

In fact our next 8 games are pretty pivotal really and are probably going to shape the rest of the season because within that run we have Burton, Morecambe, Bolton, Gills, Fleetwood and Donny (plus MK and Wycombe)

A decent return and we can look up, especially if those 8 go really well overall. If we falter, we then hit Sunderland, Wednesday, Ipswich, Wigan and have Rotherham to rearrange as well.

Griffiths will be back after missing the Plymouth game but no Jackson, Walsh, Montsma, Eyoma, Bridcutt, Maguire or Hopper. Outfield we'll probably go with the same side as the weekend. We don't do clean sheets and we've seemed effectively 4-2-4 since the new attackers came in.

I don't know why, but I'm always wary of Burton when we play them. Just one of those sides I always feel nervous about playing, a bit like Accrington and Crewe. They seem to create plenty of chances but not convert them and are very mid-table at the minute - 10 wins, 10 losses, 33 scored, 32 conceded and 11th place!

10/3 for a Cheltenham win and 5/2 for a draw against a Wigan team both without a clean sheet and without winning by more than a single goal since we played ten-man Burton in October are really good odds, especially with our best attacker (Lang) out injured. Eventually, our luck is going to run out.

We've not won since November.
Gillingham hadn't won since October and still managed to come back from 2-0 down against us at home. We're due a slip-up and you lot have brought in some new players just in time. That Nlundlou for starters, who starred for Lincoln when they turned us over.

He's been decent for us as well (although appears to have had a poor one last Saturday).

This is one of those games where I go in expecting nothing at all but know that if we do turn up then we can cause an upset.

Plimuf at home tomorrow and a good test to see if the team can bounce back from a poor pm's work at the weekend. They are in something of a bad run, when I hear this it makes me even more wary of playing them
The club are apparently still trying to get a couple more new faces in before the end of the month. Unfortunately I am missing this game ( Burns Night !! ) so expect Fleetwood to make me regret it by winning 2-1

Burton and Wycombe both away.I'm not going to expect anything brilliant as we are in transition with people incoming and outgoing. If we take 3 out of six points from those games I will be happy. The daft thing is I recon we have a better chance against Wycombe than Burton.

We're home to Charlton on Monday 31st. One win in six now.

Goals, even shots, are getting harder to come by. The Cowleys refuse to give our most creative player, Jacobs a start for some reason. I'm hoping someone comes in for him before the deadline as he deserves first team football somewhere.

Hopefully Denver Hume is signed before then, giving us two proper wing backs for the first time.

depends which “us” turns up. We are so inconsistent. On our day, can beat anyone, but then we can be like a bottom 4 club too. We are also in transition as hemmings and Akins plus lots of fringe squad players. have gone and 4 new faces in. Moult has covid, so we are lightweight upfront apart from jebbison who is very good.
I imagine a draw tonight. 1-1.

He’ll have to be as it’s deadline day.

Bit of a stitch up for both of our clubs.

It is a bit. I reckon we should both have an extra day to bring an initially exciting, ultimately deeply disappointing flair player.

Well, that was a shit first half. Totally controlling the game without troubling the keeper.

Stunned that Jackson has started. Can some shit league one side please come in for him in the next 6 days? He's absolute dogshit.

Celina, Bonne and Chaplin on the bench, hoping to see at least one of these introduced at HT.

Oh McKenna, how we needed you! 4 wins in 5.

Wimbledon very poor, we were never losing this game my concern at HT was that we wouldn't find the net. Never got out of second gear, certainly didn't pull up any trees but just did enough.

Our fixtures between now and March are kind to say the very least.... Gillingham,Donny,Morecambe,Cheltenham,Burton are 5 of our next 6. It's hard not to get a lil excited after we wrote ourselves off a month ago.

What a turnaround, season saved? Possibly.

Great to see Ugly Plymouth tanking again, like Accy. Their "promotion" push is very much over.

We had several player's missing so didn't expect anything from the game.I didn't think Ipswich were anything special to be honest .

We weren't tonight, very stop start. Just did enough away from home, as I said above we were never going to lose that game it was just about getting the goals over the line. I fear for you guys, missing key personel or not... Mills described you as looking like a reserve side tonight and it was hard to disagree, look very lightweight.

Well if your 3-1 down with a minute to go and finish up drawing, then that's got to be a good result. Missed the game so don't know if it was a fair result, certainly Plimuf fans will be gutted by losing 2 goals at the death

Deserved win for Ipswich, who didn't need to get out of second gear. "Lightweight" was actually the exact word I used when I saw our starting line-up. This must be the smallest Wimbledon team ever.

Palmer is going to be a big miss up top, and with Woodyard being out injured and Hartigan only fit enough for the bench it meant we were also without our usual midfield pairing. Nightingale was also rested having only recently come back from long term injury, meaning a big part of the spine of the team was missing.

I have a feeling the management may have treated this game as a bit of a free-hit with more important games against Shrewsbury and Cheltenham up next, both of whom we could potentially leap frog. Hopefully the team will be a bit stronger on Saturday...

Having spent a fair few years living in Suffolk I do have a soft spot for Ipswich and hope they get it together and sneak in to the playoffs... looks like they are on the right track again.

Well Jamie Cumming is certainly the best keeper in the league. That was a huge win for us to put a bit of breathing room between us and 7th when you include Plymouth's game in hand.

Saturday is even bigger now. Win and we go above Wycombe into 4th.

Provocative statement.
Before watching him for the three games we’ve had him I was a staunch believer that the best keeper was Bazunu, but in all three games he’s played for us he’s made genuinely outstanding saves and I counted at least three last night alone. It sounds crazy that we just sold a goalkeeper to the league above for high 6 figures yet we’ve immediately upgraded him.

Now you can see why we were gutted when Chelsea recalled him and sent him to you.
Quality keeper.

Fleetwood have bolstered their attack with the loan signing of Josh Harrop from PNE. He looks a useful player and will give us a few more options up front as we are still missing injured players
An awkward game tomorrow against Cambridge. Hoping they have one eye on next week's Cup game, we really need a win which I hope we can just about manage

Unlikely we'll be looking at the Luton game. It's not the most glamorous tie and Bonner won't allow the squad to do that.

However no Joe Ironside tomorrow which is a huge loss and I think this will be one game too far for our small squad. A new striker will come in but I doubt it will be for tomorrows game.

We also have another game before we play Luton in the cup.

I too feel we will start to feel the effects of a small squad with a busy schedule, not helped by playing 10 first teamers for 90 minutes in that waste of space game last Tuesday night. Ironside is a big miss but I trust Bonner to adapt accordingly, especially now we've had two games without him.

I'd take a point both tomorrow and Tuesday at Bolton, anything more would be a huge bonus but if they can muster the energy this lot are certainly capable of exceeding expectations yet again.

Last train back to London cancelled on Monday night

Last minute booking into the Ibis, 6.50 train home and straight to work.

All for a 2-0 defeat that’s being shown on the tele, the things we do.
