Think we’ve left it too late this season. Would be an even better comeback than last season if we did. 2 months of covid and injuries (having to play kids and second string) hit us hard but these 6/7 new signings this month have improved us dramatically. 2/3 additions in the summer and I think we have a great chance next season.

Talking of 3cbs… we changed 3 games ago to that and have won every game since without conceding. It’s definitely made us more solid.
We’ve been plagued with injuries and covid but stupidly played matches we should of cancelled and its backfired massively. Clarke and Roberts will improve us and hopefully LJ will learn from this. Worst result in our history and the players need to stand up and be counted. Our away form is pretty poor this season and too many times we get bullied. Best of luck for the rest of the season. This will be a massive confidence boost. Btw can we have Santos. Haha

Not a chance mate. He’s fast becoming a cult hero. Haha. We always seem to play fairly well in footballing contests. Like Ipswich, yourselves etc but struggle with teams that are really direct. We have been bullied several times this season like you guys but I think having the extra centre back in now really helps with that and makes it much harder for the opposition to get close enough to create decent chances. Would rather have your points total mind! Best of luck too. I think you’ll end up in the playoffs again. Rotherham are brilliant at what they do and Wigan have so many games in hand. I think the top 4 is decided already… but just don’t know the order.

Just when you think youv'e seen it all, the beautiful game still surprises you, We were awesome today it could have been 4 at half time, i imagine Sunderland usually offer more than they showed today, but we made them look ordinary and earned our breaks 5 great goals and a comedy OG what's not to like . The armosphere felt like a big game today and we gave a big performance. Tuesday can't come quick enough.

A shocking game in truth. High winds and a Sunday league pitch at Fleetwood.

A point was a fair result. Not much else to say about that awful game.
I would'nt call it a bad game at all. Fleetwood certainly had the better of the opening 45 minutes and should have gone in one goal to the good. 2 nd half, always poor to concede direct from a corner but a good response from the Cod's and another excellent strike from young Paddy Lane, destined for higher things without doubt
The pitch is the worst we have ever seen and needs completely relaying
A draw was a fair result, wish you well in your Cup exploits and hope you make some seriously good money

Long balled, corner kicked and long throwed to death by Burton today in gale force winds.

We created some ok chances when we got down the sides of the back 3 but it was a very scrappy game. Turnover after turnover in midfield, a whistle happy ref, a swirling wind and any genuine quality was few and far between. Not sure Burton created anything outside of set pieces whereas I don't think we delivered one good set piece, we were trying to short all afternoon and getting it wrong.

The team was more in keeping of a Maamria side than a JFH one.
Absolutely this. Burton so relient on set pieces and wasting time. Still think we will get enought points to be safe

We were poor today, and I agree with your assessment. Will take the win however to stop the rot.
Conditions did not help for both sides.

We are not normally reliant on set pieces. I think the conditions probably assisted that. We will play a hell of a lot better then that and lose, so will take a win.
You will be fine. Just need to create more - today you didn’t do enough.

I know we all have numpty fans, but what happened with the chanting against Akinfenwa? Sounds a tad uncalled for, especially as the match had to be stopped. I always likes him and he was always good value in engaging in a fun way with our fans.

According to the old bbc 3 counties radio which we share with them they were chanting about him being a sex offender. Not sure where that chant has come from but I’ve heard it sung a LOT this season about various different people. Our fans sing it about Elton John which is straying very dangerously toward homophobia. Seems to have spring out of nowhere and now being widely sung by many fanbases. Singing it about anyone is massively out of order (unless actually factual).

Not condoning it, but let's have a big of context. Akinfenwa has been bashing our club and players for a long time, for him to then come round and warm up in front of us was never going to end well. It's an unsavoury song that's sung at many grounds, by many teams. If he hadn't reacted and it wasn't us, it wouldn't be newsworthy.

Anyway, 6 points from Wycombe, Bucks is ours and we're up to fourth, with players to come in.

Wigan were probably off the pace today, but we were fantastic. We haven't looked that solid defensively all season. If we could just take our chances when they arrive then we wouldn't be looking over our shoulders.

As the Wigan fans I spoke to in the pub after the game said, if we play like that for the rest of the season we'll be completely fine.

Bloody huge game for us on Tuesday at Wimbledon now.

It’s a poor and embarrassing trend for sure, but I believe an element of our own fanbase were singing something similar about an Oxford player when we played them at home recently.

Boring boring Oxford.

Do you reckon you will hold on to your 5/10 players when you ultimately finish 9th or 10th or do you think the club will cash in and try to rebuild next season?

A small bunch of our morons were doing likewise towards Stockdale as well. Plenty got in touch with the club and it was condemned on our forum. The club had rainbow corner flags and the players wore rainbow laces for the following match at home to Sheff Wed. Sadly some Sheff Wed fans have been accused of homophobic chanting at that game and is now being investigated along with allegations that some Wednesday fans assaulted some police officers. We had an idiot go onto the pitch but he has now got himself a 3 year ban.

General behaviour at football this season seems to have gone downhill a fair bit.

We're getting rid of our 5 out of 10 rating players now hence Dan Agyei being sold to Crewe.

Thought you deserved all three points to be honest, did a proper job on us and we had one big chance all game. I'm cheesed off with that result as a three point lead over Sunderland (four with goal difference) would have been massive going into this six-game-run below. If we get out of this lot still in the top two then I think we'll go up automatically.

Special mention to Gillingham also, how shit do you have to be defensively to concede 4 penalties.
It’s not like we haven’t been saying…

Having a manager might help, but with the transfer window fast running out not by much. And for the love of god, SELL any players we get decent offers for so we don’t go in to L2 next season under the fucking embargo.

Only have to look at Scunthorpe and Oldham to see how that will work out.

Thanks for fucking up my acca Mackems..I had you down as a “both teams to score “ which I thought was a safe bet. £1164 down the swanny..
Thing is, you are usually good for goals - it’s just conceding them that’s the issue.
Must have been a strange afternoon for you.

You're fans were some of the nicest I've ever met. As I mentioned, I spoke to a few in the pub after the game, and they were complimentary of Cheltenham, but also not Billy Big Bollocks in any way despite being top. If I didn't have to go home, I'd have probably still been drinking with them now.

I thought we were in the game until the 70th minute but fair play to Plymouth, deserved the win but I saw enough today to think we will be ok next year

That’s a huge win and another away win against a side up the top of the table. If we can cut out the awful performances against the crap teams we’ll start challenging higher up the table than just play offs.

Yeah its definently getting around - 2 weeks ago I went to Derby v Sheff Utd and the large vocal contingent of Derby fans behind the goal by the away fans started singing it at Billy Sharp and it was quite loud and I thought it was just plain wrong and sad to see that a rather large group of people thought it was acceptable to sing that.

A small section of our fans sung it today at one of our ex players who plays for Mansfield now, its just out of order and embarrasing.

Some sort of message from the authorities IMO has to be put out that this sort of shit isn't acceptable, I mean if anyone walks up to someone in the street and said they was a sex offender with no proof, they'd probably get decked.

The Ipswich fans were singing it about Wes Hoolahan at the Abbey earlier this season. I know he’s ex-Norwich but as far as I know he’s pretty straight up. Bunch of weirdos.

Nothing to say other than LOL at these Gillingham highlights.

Have your players just totally given up with 18 games to go?
