Bristol Rovers and Sutton meet again 10 days after the reverse league fixture. It’ll be the 3rd meeting between the clubs as we met in the FA Cup in December. In both previous encounters stupid (but correctly given) penalties cost us. Hopefully no more of those please U’s.

Whilst we’re still unbeaten in 2022, we’ve drawn our last 3 league games (all at home). It’s also only our 3rd away game of the calendar year.

Yesterday was an improvement on Tuesdays game against Salford, and hopefully we’ll take that momentum in to this Tuesday.

Can't see us getting a win at Oldham. Probably another narrow loss or a draw.

Whereas on the face of it i wouldn’t seem bristol rovers a threat, i’d prefer them to beat sutton or a draw, a hartlepool win over tranmere would be lovely though i do expect exeter to win.

Tomorrow’s results if they went for us would leave us very handily placed.

We’re away to newport on saturday which is a game you feel they’ve got to win it in their shoes, we’re a point ahead with 2 games in hand, win on saturday and that’s 4.

Given we’ve got newport away, bradford away, exeter at home, tranmere away then port vale away we could fall away quickly if we fall apart.

Can’t speak for the Crawley game as I was just following on Twitter but the last home game was the best I’ve seen under Lee so far, normally playing a team right up the top I’d be pessimistic about our chances but with the new players and change of formation we look a lot better.

Rovers have disappointed in our last two away games. Barrow we faded after a bright start while the Walsall reports suggested we never got going at all. Realistically we need a win against Pools to compensate, but with the host’s new management team settling in and getting a run of form going, probably a draw is the best we can achieve. However expecting a shuffling of the pack and different formation so hoping we strike lucky.

Tough game tomorrow against Harrogate who have a few good attacking options, plus we know all about Lewis Page and Rory McArdle in defence. But as it’s our game in hand, it’s so important we take advantage and get the win.

It seems like Taylor is keen to rotate the squad a bit and I expect Nombe will get a start very soon.

Barrow on Saturday *should* be more straightforward but I imagine they’ll try to make it hard for us and not give us any space.

6 points and I’ll start to believe even more that we can hold down a top 3 spot.

Yep we are no threat to the promotion pack. I think we needed 4-6 points from our last two games to keep things alive and only got 1.
Doesnt help that our new striker has hardly played

I’d call it realistic. Was positive enough to suggest we’d beat Walsall at the weekend but look what happened there…

You haven’t said how you expect the Hartlepool game to go

What's the drainage like at Tranmere? Looks like there's a bit of rain about this week.

By the looks of it there’s a lot of rain everywhere.

Bet newport away on saturday will be classic.

Realistic ? We have conceded one goal in open play in thirteen matches, with the exception of the Forest Green game, and have lost two in fifteen, with one of those defeats against the league leaders.

We were very poor on Saturday but I would expect a reaction tomorrow night. Hartlepool will have to play well to beat us.

I would be very surprised if the game was called off. The drainage has been superb since we relaid the pitch a couple of years ago.

Good stuff. Getting the train to Liverpool and having a few pints there before heading to the ground. Great city.

Yep needed 7 points min from our 4 games of Sutton, Oldham, Mansfield & Sutton and so far we have 2...

If I were an actual play off team, I wouldn't be worrying about us beating Sutton

Tranmere will still be strong favourites no doubt, but only 2 teams (FGR, Newport) have took maximum points playing at Pools this season and FGR have been the only one who totally wiped the floor with us, it might not be as easy as you think.

Lol, where did I say it would be easy ? I was challenging someone who said it was an easy game for you, and painted us as rank outsiders.

I think a neutral would say a draw is the most likely result given your home form, but I don't think it is outlandish to say you will have to play well to beat us.

You're right you didn't, error on my part.

I'd be happy with a point, I just hope we don't miss as many chances as we did at PP (re-re-opening that can of worms..) :fish:

Think it will be a difficult game tomorrow, would take a point now, but you never know with the little turnaround in form in the last couple games. Hoping for another unchanged team, but got a feeling GL decides to bring Featherstone back into the team after suspension.

Hope we get some revenge for the reverse fixture earlier in the season when we were by far the better team and came away with a 1-0 defeat from a late goal.

We are missing a couple of key players in Glatzel and Spearing, so if there is a good time to play us it is probably now to be honest. I am not particularly relishing the game, but I think Mellon will make changes and I expect we will be better than we were on Saturday.

I think we both agree that Micky needs to try something different after Walsall, while 1 point from 6 in our last two away games at teams near the bottom is disappointing. On paper this looks like a tougher trip than the last the last two, because Pools are in decent form, have got a solid L2 striker in Bogle and a good home record.

I didn’t predict any result would think a draw is most likely, but like all Rovers fans, hoping for something better!

Everyone in the whole world knows how we ruthlessly battered Tranmere into submission at Prenton Park, except one rogue fan on here. We should've scored two seasons worth of goals there but we shat ourselves instead.

If there was ever gonna be a more blatant 0-0 it would be this one.

Blimey, that performance assumes more lustre as the months pass.

Personally, I thought it was only bettered by Brazil v Italy in 1970.

If we'd have played Tranmere on the original date,it would have been certain defeat,
I'm a lot more confident of a result now.
They've stuttered in their last two away games, while we seem to be running into a bit of form.
Launch Hawkes into the Mill House Terrace ,Bogle to nick a goal & job done.
