Tranmere stunk the house down, must've been their poorest performance of the season, a couple of flaps at crosses from Killip was their best chance of the night, we looked really good though, the change to 433 has done us the world of good, 40 points now, safety secured, let's just keep on trucking and see what happens!

I mean we missed an absolute sitter with a one on one but you’re right. Absolute rubbish.

Play like that for the rest of the season and we won’t even make the playoffs.

Well that was fun.
Honestly we were dreadful for for first 20 minutes, Harrogate were running through our midfield and giving our defence all sorts of problems.
Went to a 442 and that seemed to change things. Not sure about the penalty, though Huxtable was awful all night.
Second half, Dieng coming on for Atangana massively changed things, but we got caught out at a corner and things looked a bit bleak. Especially when Stubbs went off which prevented a forward coming on. Harrogate kept coming forward and should have made it 4-2.
But we carried on attacking and found a way through. The winning goal was a sublime chip in the 95th minute. It doesn't get much better than that.
Honestly didn't check the other scores until just now, and thats the icing on the cake.
Need to keep a lid on it for Saturday, hopefully Dieng will start and will be interesting to see what we do at the back if Stubbs is injured.
But up the effing City!

Going to be a big game on Saturday for us at Prenton Park. Obviously Tranmere will be smarting from their last two results. It may be the case they will now come at us more and turn it into an open game, if that's the case it will work to our favour I reckon.

Hopefully the team can pull out the result, win this and there is a series of more favourable fixtures thereafter even if football is never that simple. Will likely have to do it without DC in attendance as he's on compassionate leave now sadly following the loss of a family member. Got faith in Andy Crosby and maybe Flitcroft to cover it until he's back at work.

Yup,i thought Tranmere would have been smarting after Saturdays defeat, but they were really poor.
Molyneux & Bogle both should have done better in front of goal to make the win a bit more comfortable.
Tom Crawford man of the match, brilliant game.
I can now see why Challinor brought him in,but why he didn't play him is a mystery.

In other news Boreham Wood and Stockport both winning 2-0 in the National League;-
Stockport P 28 Points 58
Chesterfield P 27 Points 55
Boreham Wood P24 Points 52
Table if it stays the same
It’s such a shame to see boreham wood and stockport win. haha.
Get the fuck in! Good first half, professional second half. Our game management is looking a lot better as well. Over the moon with that!
Well done lads!

I don’t think we will see DC for a while sadly.

Hopefully the boys can put in a big performance for him on Saturday, I’d expect them to give it everything but really does feel like second fiddle.

Thoughts are with DC at the moment.

Truthfully, even when we've been winning we've never been impressive, but these last two games have been particularly diabolical. I suspect many Tranmere fans have been expecting this collapse to come at some point!

Surprisingly comfortable victory. I can see why Tranmere don't concede many, but I can see why they don't score many either. They barely carried a threat and didn't put up much of a fight either until they started getting frustrated in the last ten minutes, and even then their fight was misdirected. Well done to Bogle for realising Macdonald needed a cuddle.

Exoecting a tough one on Saturday against Sutton but we're competitive against anyone at the moment.

Sutton looked poor last night albeit with some injury issues (which we have had all season), but we were very very good.

You were excellent on the night.

Not only injuries but players having to play before being fully fit. Hopefully we will get a few back for Saturday.

We have plenty of injuries too such as Loft, Evans, Kilgour and Grant who would normally be in the 1st team.
To be honest we have been blighted with injuries all season and struggled even with a big squad, so we would probably be a lot higher in the table had they been kinder.
I think your lads did look quite dangerous going forward just a bit erratic with the finishing or final ball, although 3/4 of our defenders are playing their first full season so we were very inexperienced back there.
Good luck with the rest of the season, we probably have left it too late for play offs so you wont see us again.

We did dominate possession in the second half and Hemmings had a good chance to equalise, but we were lacking quality in the final third all game.

Injuries have really hit us, with O'Connor and Nevitt both ruled out before kick off, in addition to Spearing and Glatzel who were already out. We are missing our first choice centre midfield pairing and two of our four strikers. I think Vale and Exeter had similar issues a few weeks ago, and now we are being affected.

I think there is also fatigue in the squad after six games in three weeks, but we really need to pull something out of the bag on Saturday.

Ahead of Saturday I thought it would be fun to demonstrate our recent form:

Home to $alford, Lost 0 - 2. Didn't score.
Away to Exeter, Lost 1 - 0. Didn't score.
Home to Colchester, Lost 0 - 1. Didn't score.
Away to Bradford, Drew 1 - 1. Oh my god a goal.
Away to Mansfield, Lost 2 - 0. Didn't score.
Home to Newport, Lost 0 - 1. Didn't score.
Home to Vale, Drew 0 - 0. Didn't score.
Away to Stoke (FA Cup 3rd round), lost 2 - 0. Didn't score.
Away to Tranmere, Lost 1 - 0. Didn't score.
Home to Crawley, Lost 1 - 2. We 'scored' an own goal.

If anyone can explain to me why jackett is still at the helm I would be very grateful. Not seen a side this poor in every department in years.

Looking forward to not scoring against Harrogate.

With the site the way it is at the moment I'd suggest everyone has a read of page three in the "midweek games" thread in the NL section about potential alternatives.

Hi League 2’ers, well as this site looks like it’s dying a slow death a load of us non leaguers are migrating over to the other site : FOOTBALL FORUMS . NET so if you want to be able to actually post on a site that works it might be an idea for you to do the same.
Surely worth a look?

That site was quite good about 10 years a go. It has been crap for years though.
