Thought i would start this one just for a change, a lot of important games at the top and bottom! i can see colchester winning at crawley and pools picking up a point at salford and that would set saturday's game up perfectly, can,t see past wins for Satanage and Northampton and i can see Swindon putting a dent in Bradfords automatic hope's, we are safe for another season but we have a lot of players out of contract so if they are playing for extensions i can see us taking all 3 points off Mansfield.

Need a win but hard to see without some players returning.

Time for a change. I'd like to see an attacking 442 with proper wingers.

Armer, Mellish, Huntington and Whelan (Barclay after Stockport game).

Mellish can play as a box to box central defender. Pushing forward when attacking and dropping back when defending. It's a role made for him. Armer and Whelan / Barclay are naturally defensive minded players to help keep a solid back 3 when Mellish goes rogue.

Guy and Moxon sitting in the middle with instructions to shoot at any clear view of goal.

Get Gibson and Patrick on the wings. Just tell them to fucking run and get the ball into box quick. When the ball is on one wing the opposite side winger must push right up and make a front 3.

Mellish will be somewhere picking up the loose balls falling around the box like a crazy puppy.

Then either Edmondson and Dennis or Garner and Gordon in the front pair.

Have an awful feeling about Tuesday.

No pressure on Swindon whatsoever - their season is as good as over.

A win will likely put us 3rd, if not 2nd - depending on results elsewhere.

I think we’ll blow the opportunity.

1-0 Swindon

With a big game against Bradford lurking on the horizon it’s imperative we win the 2 this week. Made a last minute decision to attend even though it’s a bit of a schlep through London.

1-2 Wobbs

Carlisle Nil vs Stockport

We won’t score obviously, but can we keep a clean sheet for the 4th successive match? I think this will be a game too far sadly and it will be a heavy defeat. 0-3. That’s if we persist with the same failing formula that all season hasn’t worked against any decent side.

But I’d love us to try something different for this match. Ditch the back 5 and wing backs for a start. Yeah maybe we still won’t score and still get beat, but maybe it might just work and we turn a corner. Don’t know till we try it and we might as well try it because we’re going to end up blowing our top 7 chances if we persist with this.

Promotion will be 100% rubber stamped if:

We at the very least draw and/or Bradford lose. The only other way now to stop us is if there is a huge swing in the goal difference.

We'll likely make one or two changes, not sure if Ed Turns can play two in a week with his slight injury and Darren Pratley will likely be rested for Jordan Brown.

Personally I’d prefer 4-3-3, but I’m open to us trying fucking anything to prevent another inept toothless display.

Trying to find a way to leave work tomorrow so I can get down to Sutton. Remember from the home game that Sutton were ultra physical and we didnt cope with it well in second half, thats a cause for concern due to our injuries at the back at the moment. That being said Sutton are out of form and have nothing to play for. Im with big Dave on this, 2-1 to the Cobblers.

What I'm suggesting is a 442 that changes into a 3232 while visiting through 3322, 3223, 3142, and possibly a bit of 3124. Throw in your 433 to add a bit of extra variety.

Can we not just give fat boy the 3 points and be done with it, I really don’t want the life sucking out of me for another 90 minutes and then be told by super Danny that there were lots of positives and we just need to work harder, there isn’t enough glitter in the world to polish the turd of the squad we have

Wouldn't be at all surprised if Dale win and keep this death by a thousand cuts season going for one more game.

Nothing to play for doesn’t really apply to us (and is generally an overrated concept imho). Our players will give it everything as per. We’ll be competitive, would be nice if we looked to press high up and go for it, it’s when we’re at our best. Think it should be an away win though, Eastmond probably still out and we’re 20% worse without him. Goodliffe hopefully back to get a more solid look to the side from Saturday. Other than that maybe a change up top to freshen up the 1 area we can other than maybe left back.

Drysdale, fucking hell.
It’s even Stevens he could be shite for us, you know.

Anyhoo, you don’t a need a dodgy ref to pick up 3 points. Tomlinson and McCreachan both out, unsure if Austin can manage 2 games in 4 days. We’ve got the wankiest, lightweight, non-tackling midfield you’ll ever see. Press us high up, wait for the errors, fill yer boots.

Stockport County.
Paul Simpson was a shocking manager for us by all accounts- some terrible backroom stories.

Did a great job at Carlisle first time around and brilliant once again, just goes to show certain caps just fit etc. Other clubs hate Jim Gannon whilst he's like a God to a lot of our lot, me included. So I can't go in on Simpson too much.

His lad is on our coaching staff.

Hopefully Simpson Jr will come out on top but I wouldn't be displeased with a draw. Carlisle will be a tough place to go.

You can have 2 defenders, 1 around Cook's waist, the other round his knees. We won't get a penalty. He has even sent 1 of our players off in the car park.
