Seems the game is on and our new pitch has held up miraculously well. Fair play to chas.

Just really hope we don't lose anyone else to injury or suspension. Going to be hard enough as it is until January. Lose either Rodney or Politic now and we are getting into just playing Conlon as a false nine territory.

Either way the team looks solid enough otherwise.

Yeah I’m surprised he’s thrown Worrall, Politic and Rodney on together tonight as he’s been keeping one back each game.

Lose anyone else we have zero attack.

No left back for Crawley. Top scorer missing.

Could be a tough night but I'm still hopeful.

Weird line-up for Rovers with inexperienced young striker Charlie Jolley recalled from Chester and straight into the starting xi with equally raw Elliott Nevitt, while Nicky Maynard sits on the bench. A few strange choices made elsewhere with a couple of the 'better' players in the Orient thumping, O'Connor and Morris dropping to the bench. Think a draw would be a good result now.

Some wacky theories on OVF that Covolan has been dropped from the number one to be on the bench as a back up striker! Would be bonkers even by Vale standards despite his superb header against Hartlepool in the play off final!

It's a risk you would say. I suppose in its favour at least after we play Newport on Saturday there's no more midweek games for a little while so can get a full week off leading up to the Exeter game.

Only thing I might have considered is bringing in Brad Walker add some aerial presence. Suppose with him and Burgess on the bench in the event of an emergency at least we are well covered in midfield so could move Conlon up top I guess.

Or Leggey as a target man!

Problem with Walker is you can’t drop Conlon or Pett so it’s him or Garrity and away from home you really need Garritys legs and harassing.

With Corey Whelan switching to right back in place of Mellor, it means we’re Back to the Mellish Guy midfield two.

I think my 3-0 Mansfield prediction is looking quite optimistic now. Hopefully we defend well and keep the score line respectable, but I’m fearing an absolute demolition here.

Bottom of the league here we come!

Really limited options for mansfield tonight, ravaged by injuries this time uptop, it’s bloody relentless.

I’d expect a 0-0 draw or a 1-0 carlisle win

Anyone who is stood on that away terrace at the Mem should be given a medal. Weather conditions there look horrible.

Really nice reception for DC when he walked out.

Good luck to both of these sides trying to deal with this wind and rain.

We’ve had the best chance through Politic. Beautiful pass by Conlon to start that move off.

Great goal by the O’s. Brilliant long diagonal from Ogie, great first touch from James off his chest on the run to set himself up for a great cross and then well finished at the front post from Drinan.

No idea what happened on the red card for the Rovers player, stream completely missed it. Been mostly Vale though since. Conlon looks a level above anything else on the pitch.

Get in what a beautiful move to make it 2-0. Conlon is putting on a show right now.

Deserved lead at Exeter, Paul Lewis should have had a couple before we took the lead

Swindon equalised. Looked offside in the lead up to it on the stream. Not underserved though.

That half couldn’t have gone better for us. Absolutely brilliant performance from us. I know it was against ten men but sometimes that can make it harder.

No complaints. Second best so far. Only hope is that we have the wind in the second half and we have Seymour on the bench...

Superb half for us, as said couldn’t see the red incident but the linesman has seen it so assume it’s spot on.

We’ve battered them since and deserve the two goal lead, superb ball on both from Conlon and finish from Garrity.

Rovers fans moaning about the free kick for the first in the crowd but looked spot on, Dennis nicks in and he trips him.

Just got to avoid silly free kicks and keep professional and hopefully we can get another goal or two to finish the tie.

Big half now.

Really enjoyable first half. 1-1 about right although we’ve looked the better side since Orient scored.

Should be a good 2nd half.

Seems to be red cards in just about every game Rovers play.

David Ajiboye is having a bit of a one man goal of the season competition.

Struggling for bodies at the moment. Davis has come off, Ben Goodliffe is struggling with an injury and Eastmond received what looks to my biased eyes a harsh red.

Brilliant really? Bit OTT. A lot of diving around from your players and getting decisions. We looked comfortable until the sending off and that's changed everything. Even after the sending off we should have took the lead. Obviously cant comment on the sending off you just have to assume the lino saw a sending off offence, if so then Finley was a silly prick

1-1 at Brisbane Road.
No one could really complain at the scoreline, two even sides cancelling each other out, maybe Swindon slightly the brighter but no real difference.
That said, I can't wait to see the highlights because that Swindon equaliser looked about 4,540,560 yards offside at a conservative estimate.

Still, two half decent teams, great away support from Swindon for a Tuesday night too.
