Im not sure how the psychology of what happened at barrow last season will effect both sides, if we score early will barrow crumble or conversely will barrow come out all guns blazing to prove that our comeback was a 1 off?

A 2-0 win but not sure who for!!!

I doubt it will affect our players too much - I think maybe 3 of our players were in the side for the 3-4 game, though a lot more from Tranmere may have other ideas. I don't think this Barrow side is one for crumbling, unless a centre back/keeper gets sent off, then we're knackered. I still fancy Tranmere to win, but expecting us to make a decent fist of it.

I'm hoping for a better game of football than the last time a Paul Cox team visited Prenton when his Mansfield team parked the bus on the goal line for 90 minutes and got away with a point. The most negative tactics I've ever witnessed from a visiting team. I'm expecting more of the same from Barrow tomorrow night and think the home fans may need to show a bit of patience as the game progresses.
0-0 in front of 4700.

There may be an element of that, but I don't think we'll "park the bus". As I put on another thread, people have a pre-conceived idea of what his teams play like, but we haven't seen that once since he's been here. A clue to how the game goes will depend if Parry starts in midfield or not, I reckon - if he does, then yeah, we've come to defend and nick something, but if not, I don't think we'll have the players to play defensively.

Cut out the silly mistakes and we might have a chance tomorrow, if not though expect Daggers to punish us much like Gateshead did. I didn't think we were that bad on Saturday whilst we were in it.

Rovers v Barrow, I really don't know. Home form was poor last season, so it will be a test of how much progress we've made. Both teams have strengthened since last season's 0-1,a game where we had enough chances to get something. Think we will this time round, with the help of ex-Barrow goal machine Andy Cook, but not confident of taking all the points.

I think our game away at York is going to be the most difficult game we'll face this month, along with Lincoln. We were very good against Torquay and probably should have won by 3 or 4, but I think as good as we were, they were also fairly poor. I would definitely take a point tomorrow night, with more winnable games against Braintree, Southport and Sutton to follow.

We have some fancy new wrought iron gates outside the main stand, so we can't lose.

I expect this to be one of our toughest home fixtures this season. I'm going to guess 2-1, but that relies entirely on us sorting out our home form. 4,900 in the ground, and a fair few hundred from Barrow.

Ps is everyone else getting intermittent access to the site, and annoying pop up ads when they do?

Its happening to me too and I couldnt get on at all yesterday. Try and hold on in there guys. Admin are working on the problem.

A run of three games now for us where we need get off the mark, starting tonight against Gainsborough Trinity. Our home form in the past two seasons has been patchy at best and has really held us back so hopefully we start better this year. Nothing other than 6/6 from gainsborough and Curzon will do really.

We really need to be getting a home win tonight, but Macc are an experienced side at this level and we're mostly not, so I can see it being a tough watch. Someone will win by an odd goal but I'm not convinced it will be us.

We make the short trip to bogey team Stalybridge Celtic tonight.

Both clubs started the season with narrow victories so both will be wanting to build on that start.

Personally, I can see a draw tonight (because we never beat Celtic) which will be a reasonable result.

The game at the New Lawn is between two sides who will have been embarrassed by the weekend results. Obviously this is worse for Sutton as of course we're playing the green galaticos. A win here for Sutton will be hilarious as much as anything. 1-0 Sutton via a Charlie Clough own goal
What formation do you guys play? If your management learnt anything from our game at Boreham Wood it's this - play 4-3-3 and make sure you have two pacey wingers with chalk on their boots. Leaves us so open at the back.
Expecting a reaction though - Matt Tubbs, Fabien Robert and Keanu Marsh-Brown to come into the side, also Aarran Racine at the back.
2-1 to FGR.

But pick(s) of the round are:
Tranmere v Barrow - expecting a 2-2 draw.
York v Macclesfield - Silkmen to win 2-0.

Dover massive favourites over Boreham wood who are like 9/2 to win. Can see them doing it again

Bit of revenge needed tonight for the hammering at Guiseley at the end of last night.

Will go for a cagey 1-0 or 2-1 win.

Hopefully we can improve our home form from last season. Our 1-0 defeat to Barrow last year was similar to a few games we had at home and I think getting the first goal in the game will be crucial. If the front 3 can link up like they did on Saturday i fancy us to win this either 2-1 or 3-1

Fully expecting a comfortable win for us tonight at Braintree, will be nice to score at least 3 and keep a clean sheet.
That said, Jamie Day's side's usually do well against us....So any scoreline to ensure 3 points will do!

No idea what to expect from us tonight, hopefully we go to 4-2-3-1 tonight instead of the 3-5-2 we played at the weekend.

2-1 Connelly and Whittle for us
