Morison is physical, but he's not a target man like a Hanson. More of a powerful runner with deceptive pace. Picking massive centre halves against him tends to work less effectively than a more mobile player.

I'll be taking a screenshot of this and sending it to our manager Rob Page. :2thumb:

Haha, go for it. Morison actually isn't playing all that well at the moment. Fred and O'Brien are the two most dangerous of ours at the moment.

Actually looking forward to games at the moment, which is unusual. I hope we play with the same freedom and confidence that we have been doing. From what I've seen from this division so far, when we are bang on our game we can beat anybody. We played early pacesetters Gillingham and were comfortably the better team for an hour. There's just always this nagging feeling that because we are Vale we will inevitably let ourselves down just when things are looking up- that's what Vale do! What gives me a bit more confidence is that last season it was plain to see that when we were in a sniffing distance of the play off spots we were clearly not good enough. This year I feel like we have got a lot more players comfortable on the ball and with the strength and pace to hurt teams.

Absolutely! But I do think this Vale side has much more character than previous one's, and it's games like the one tonight that they really need to show it. We certainly showed it last time out against Wigan.

I thought it would be typical of Vale to balls it all up after that late defeat at Bradford.
However, since when we've beaten Carlisle in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and beaten promotion favourites Wigan 3-2.
I think we've got a lot more resolve than last season, which is why I actually don't worry about any side we face.

Agree with the comments above, really optimistic tonight, as we all keep saying ' this is Vale ' and after the catastrophic games against Crawley and Colchester last season we all know what can happen but as the guys above rightly say there is a resolve about this team. Really disappointed at how we dropped deeper and deeper at what i considered to be a dreadful Bradford side but we,ll forgive that one and hopefully get a good win tonight to set us up for the raucous rendition of ' one greedy bastard ' at Bury on saturday. Players come and go FANS don,t so i am entitled to my opinion on Pope regardless of whether he and his old man are Vale fans, i earn 350 quid a week and get by so the short career bollocks doesn,t wash especially when got a sideline writing tripe in the Stokeinel.

Nelson couldn't get over his injury so Webster starts. Urgh.

I'm used to 15 years of cock ups! Even what should of been a routine promotion and title shot we made hard work off in 12/13 when cruising it so hopefully we can experience a vale that can keep up expectation for once!

We should be out of sight if commentary and reports are to believed.

We're going to fucking lose this now.

SSN Reporting that Millwall could be 3 or 4 up bar some great saves and one off the line from Duffy. Didn't expect that.

Because people were talking as if we were heading into the final strait, when in reality this is only the seventh league fixture of the season for both sides. Form isn't a great indicator at such an early stage.

Still early in this game, though, never mind the season, so we need to do our early domination justice.

Poor first-half from us, though some credit to Millwall who are an energetic side. They should be in front so hopefully from a Vale point of view it will be a game of 2 halves. I can only think we'll improve dramatically after the break, and we'll need to! Rocket from Page imminent.

Worst performance of the season by some way and lucky to be level although Andoh should score right on half time. Vast improvement needed!

Sounds like the game should have been over after 20 minutes.

This will be a test of what I think is Pages big weakness - influencing a result via subs/tactics during a game.

Need to make the most of Alnwick's first half performance.

Seemingly learned nothing from the 1st half as Millwall open the scoring with their 784th free header of the evening.

Very poor tonight for whatever reason. We're allowed an off-day but it's still very dissapointing after some superb performances early on. Credit to Millwall though, they've been right at it from the off unlike us, who are playing with an attitude like they only had to turn up to win the game.

Vale getting back into this a bit now. No clear chances yet but crowd are getting behind them and we're losing our discipline a bit. Need to calm things down.

The type of game that we always lose after a good win.

Why did I not put a bet on?

Few things more certain in life than Vale ballsing up after a good win at the weekend.

Credit to Millwall, sounded like it could have been four or five but for Alnwick and a couple of goal line blocks.

Wank. There's no excuse for that 1st half performance. Well done Millwall, I can see why they have a very good away record. Good side whether we were poor on the night or not.

Fair play PV fans for being pretty magnanimous in defeat. Break seems to have done us a world of good. Hopefully we can build on this and turn the home form around.

Yup, good club and decent fans.

Beginning to look like we have the makings of a decent squad but we have to sort out the home form if we are going to achieve anything this season. Andoh seemed to play well for them and caused us a few issues.

Aah good old vale glad to have you back. Nothing more certain in life than vale messing it up when things look good. I said it before the game. Full credit to Millwall who wanted it more from the off. We thought we could turn up and win.

We're desperate for another striker. Far too much pressure on Ikpeazu's shoulders which is unfair considering his age and the fact that he's not an out and out goal-scorer himself by any means. If he has an off day then it leaves us up shit creek without a paddle. Page either needs to give JJ Hooper a chance or beg the chairman to open his sweetie jar again or else we're going to finish mid-table, make no mistake about it. Time to bring Innis back into the defense and also O'Connor in the moment he's available for Foley, the latter who is steady and good back-up but doesn't offer anything like the same quality with the ball.

As for Millwall, I think with a bit of luck they'll finish in the top 6 for certain. Not just because of their performance and result tonight but I expected them to be right up there before a ball was kicked this season.

Right result. Just better than us really. Hopefully we can use this result in the right way, get our feet back on the ground and move on. We're clearly a much better team than what we showed tonight, which is disappointing, but it happens.

Typical League One. Millwall will have a night like tonight for certain, we'll no doubt have another before too long. What's dissapointing more than anything is the attitude of the players tonight. We should have been at Millwall from the off but didn't start playing until the 2nd half and with the energy and bit of quality that Millwall have it's no surprise that they scored a 2nd against the run of play somewhat.
