And ours today has had a big boost with a mystery backer pledging £10 for every individual pledger giving £10 or more. Current total stands at around £10,635 with the extra funds from the backer added on at the end. 18 days left to go.

Our head physio and close friend of Ady Pennock, Paul Maxwell looks like becoming the latest member of our backroom staff to leave, following the previous departures of our groundsman, kitman and sports therapist.

Maxwell, who was involved in a couple of brawls last season, including the one at Halifax, has apparently been suspended over an allegation of gross misconduct, which according to his lawyer he disputes. http://www.stroudnewsandjournal.co....l_suspended_over_gross_misconduct_allegation/

The departures of our groundsman, Stewart Ward, and long serving kitman Terry Brown were also fairly acrimonious by all accounts, so things don't appear to be particularly rosy behind the scenes at the moment.

The club has not made any public reference to any exits, including when announcing their replacements.

Yeah, ours has picked up real momentum today with 14 new pledges since this morning. Can see it getting to maybe 15k, which would be a massive boost.

It needed something like that to make sure it didn't stagnate because there is only so much money/so many initiatives people can contribute to.

The summer is supposed to be the off-season and I think all fans have done is fundraise (not a criticism)!.

Our Derby with Wrexham as expected once more a bubble match, but with a slightly more convenient kick-off time of 2pm. Hopefully if we all behave, they'll relax it further, although wouldn't hold my breath for that. They also say that there's no current plan for the Wrexham/Tranmere games to be subject to bubble restrictions so would expect it to be the same for us, hopefully.

My National League season preview...

Not sure where to put this and didn't want to create a new thread. Enjoy ;)

Apparently Michael Rankine joined Altrincham twice? :p
Great read anyway

Latest F.A. Disciplinary Figures Released

FA Disciplinary figures just released show a marked improvement on yellow cards for dissent across the Vanarama National Leagues.

Cautions for dissent (verbal and action) from across all three divisions of the National League fixtures, compared pro rata with December 2014, shows the following decrease in each:-

National League: -12.5%

National League North: -23.9%

National League South: -12.5%

The message to clubs is well done, so please pass on these stats to ALL management and players within each respective club via your nominated `Respect Director`.

Players can so easily make the game more enjoyable for everyone involved, whether playing, refereeing or watching.

They have decided that the table and subsequent promotion to league 2 will be sorted by alphabetical order rather than points gained?

Ok, maybe this is wishful thinking on my part ;)

Hopefully this will be something more than just a new sponsor but I'm not getting my hopes up.

off the top of my head there's Wrexham, Welling, Woking and Tranmere guaranteed to be below you - so your relegation worries this season would be over... want to change your mind?

No suspicious reflections in the trophy either. Shame.
It also makes me wonder when the National League people will notice that the shirt numbers still have the old Conference logo on them. It's about the only thing that hasn't had some sort of modern revamp.
