‘Meet experienced men’.

No I’m alright thanks.

This is worse then the Stroud News and Journal site. WORSE.

Unreadable on mobile now, time for a week off and see if it’s fixed then.

With the screenshots in this thread and half of the page taken up with an ad, this is absolutely impossible to follow.

Just to check, is it fixed now?

This is probably the most invasive amount of ads I've ever seen on a forum. Makes it virtually impossible to use on a mobile.

It's going to drive people away if you're not careful.

It's driving me fucking insane, at least on a mobile. Shameless profiteering, total disregard to its users. Oh well, at least the extra 2p per (inadvertent) click on an ad the size of the Eiffel Tower might stop the site going down at the end of every month.

TB could give just a hint of a fuck about the people using the forum, but that would get in the way of making money... Betting companies, single Muslim women and wondering why the site's so dead it is.

Absolutely awful now. I know ads bring in needed money to keep the site running but it's impossible to see anything.
I have already halved the times I visit the site per day now as its just unpleasent. Screenshot_20200217-014935_Samsung Internet.jpg

Ridiculous on a mobile. The only way to get rid of the big ad is to report it as obscuring content which we shouldn't have to do. If I could get twitter links* to work on my PC, I'd sack off mobile visits entirely. Block ads above or in a thread are bearable, those that obscure content are not.

*more of that in another thread.

Excessive ads on mobile has now been resolved. Clear your mobile caches.

I clear my cache at least 3 times a week. All sorted now, thank you. I've also turned my adblocker off on my PC and it seems remarkably clear. Long may it continue.

This went on a lot longer than it should but having created this thread, it's only fair to say that the issues seem to have been resolved at least for the time being so thanks for sorting TB.

Any reason, when viewing threads, that I have an advert every other post, which in turn makes the thread twice as long? Never used to be there. If it's a site thing then fair enough, wasn't sure if it was an account preference that had been changed.

We have switched back to Google and it will take a day or two to get them setup correctly.

I've made some additional adjustments just now which should be noticable within the next hour or two.

Feel free to provide feedback on how the site navigates with the new volume from 10pm.

Nothing changed this end. Done general internet clear/delete things. Not a massive issue, just noticeable.
