MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head

  • This is the first ever meeting between these sides in the FA Cup.
  • Watford are unbeaten in their last nine league clashes with Leeds.
  • The Hornets came from two goals down to win 3-2 in the Championship in February 2015 when these teams last met.
Watford

  • Watford are into the fifth round for the first time in seven seasons and they are looking to reach the last eight for the time since 2007.
  • They have only ever lost four of their 48 FA Cup matches at home to lower-league opposition (W38, D6, L4).
  • The Hornets have only conceded once in their previous three games in all competitions at Vicarage Road.
  • Troy Deeney has scored six goals in his last six appearances against Leeds and picked up a red card in the one game where he didn't find the net.
Leeds United

  • Leeds have won just three of their last 11 matches in all competitions - but two of those have come in the FA Cup (D5, L3).
  • They are aiming to reach the sixth round for the first time in 13 years.
  • Leeds have only ever won two of their 23 FA Cup games away to teams from a higher division (W2, D6, L15).
  • United have kept just one clean sheet in their last 13 FA Cup matches.

Probably ought to win but Leeds will have a good support behind them.

Had to look this one up...

We beat Bolton 3-2 in a replay in 1949-50 when we were 2nd Division and they were 1st Division. And then winning 1-0 at Man Utd in 09/10 when we were in League One.

Not a great game against an organised but limited Leeds side but the 2nd half was better and we got the win.

Nice tidy finish too...

Well done to Watford and pleased that they go through to the last eight (even if it was by an own goal) My 10 year old GD is over the moon and so are all the lads down the Rifle.

Quality finish for the own goal.

Definitely a game that goes down as us doing just enough to get the win, but Leeds didn't even bother to try and attack until after we scored.

It might be seen as a bit of an unglamorous run seeing as we have won all three games 1-0 but I will more than take 3 more 1-0 wins in the cup.

Fingers crossed for a good draw up for the quarter finals.
