How are Stags at full back with all the injuries? That tends to be the game against us in terms of stopping us creating chances.

We are a bit fucked, from what I gather we got one full-back in McLaughlin but he is only recently returned from long time injury. Aaron Lewis can play left back like he did for Newport but only played in midfield for us.

The only hope for RB is play another striker there in Akins unless George Williams is fit enough from illness he is yet to start a league game mind.

Jones vs Akins down the flank? This is Skybet heritage.

I'd be playing Nigel himself there to keep Akins upfront to be honest. He's exactly what we struggle with.

Can Lewis play right back? If not we are fucked.

Akins was brilliant against Stockport but been utterly useless since.

I’m sure Clough will have something in mind for Jones, he’s used Brunt for a stopgap at RB but without Flint we need him at CB because we haven’t got any of them either. Sometimes Clough does use Ollie Clarke to absolutely harass a certain player, like a much less sophisticated version of Park Ji-sung against Pirlo - would not rule that out.

No Quinn in midfield either, our best player at creating chances for players.

Well I think he probably can but in the same way Bowery can play LB, Bowery would rather commit manslaugher than use his left peg.

That’s where i’m concerned, our defence has let in only 8 at home (the best in the FL) but the 17 scored is the worst in the top half.

If we’ve no defence….

25 goals in your home games, 58 in our away games. Funny.

We’ve only scored 3 at home twice (stockport and morecambe) in both games they came out and attacked us.

Let's do the football maths here for the BTTS bet.

Mansfield don't score many and concede even fewer at home. Very Bad.

They do score when the other team is attacking. We like to attack. Good.

Mansfield have an small infantry regiment of defenders out injured. Good.

We have only one out injured but we concede shed loads of goals especially away from home. Very Good.

History says Mansfield score lots against Notts in this game. Very Good.

We have Langstaff, McGoldrick and Jones. Good.

The pitch looks bad on TV and therefore must be a farmers field in places up close. Doesn't help with goals at Field Mill. Bad.

2 very good , 2 good. 1 bad. 1 Very bad.

Good enough for me. Decent BTTS bet placed.

As per the traffic above, there is only one game that matters this weekend, it’s a bit unreasonable of the EFL to arrange all these other League 2 fixtures when we all should all be watching online - it’s as bad as the devaluation of the FA Cup Final…

Akins is one of those players who always seems to score against us, Angelo Balanta and fucking Michael Cheek are the same.

Stick him at right back, I’d still fancy him to nick one.

Every club probably thinks the same about Cheek, I know we do. Man will still be scoring and annoying Brothers down there when he's 40.

Yeah.... And trying to find the next most interesting game sure is a tough one.

Hmmmmmm.
The Salford, Stanley, Crawley and Morcambe fans on here (is it one each?) are so excited about the next episode of Top of the Notts they can’t bring themselves to post anything about their own games…

It really depends how you define interesting for me. Yours is definitely up there but the relegation scrap could all but be decided this weekend with Sutton Doncaster and Colchester FGR and because I don't really have an opinion either way on County or Mansfield, that interests me far more.

Then I'd probably say MK away at Barrow has potential given the positions of the two teams. And Wrexham/Salford is the battle of the documentary's...

A fun weekend to be had by all.

Yeah I think you are right you've got to go to the bottom to find intriguing and interesting games. Those bottom two need 3 points or the fat lady is warming up those vocal chords. Draws won't do in games like those.

"A fun weekend to be had by all" is something I can guarantee won't happen.

This is 4th football after all.

Jesus Christ Jacob, what have you done here? Don't get them started.

Haha.

We do like a whinge.

Hopefully we get as many chances we did last time we played a side in black and white at home ;)

Hopefully you'll put more of them away too, you'll need to against Notts!

.

Injuries AND suspension.

We are back to the days of playing one defender in defence again!

AND clough has been charged for calling out the unfit for purpose fraud at wimbledon last week!

Has he been charged for also saying in that interview that he wanted his player to 'go and foul' the keeper? Definitely backs up what I saw at EP and am glad Oates is the one who's out for several months instead of Hinchliffe.

He's one I'm disappointed we never took a punt on given that he lives in Colchester and did the local non-league circuit for a while.

Guessing that was against Newcastle Utd then as we wore blue on Boxing Day.
