No idea Dan, there's plenty of players that we could get but set our sights too high AGAIN. I'd sign him in an instant, add Egan and Dack too. We will see what the next couple of weeks will bring. Such a shame this summer has gone the way it has. Things arnt looking too positive atm, Cotterills not helping things either. He's like a fucking child.

They missed a trick.

Instead of going for that sort of policy, they went for top end Championship players, and then got blown out the water by bigger clubs with more money for agent fee's.

Also, amongst all the L1 quality players, a bit of Championship experience in our side wouldn't go a miss. We lack that currently.

He comes across really bitter whenever we lose in interview, and that was alright last season when we only lost a handful of games, but when you're losing frequently, I can it be interpreted as a scenario of 'blaming everything but himself'.

Was thinking the same thing. Morsy, Egan, Dack, Woods at Shrewsbury. You could probably get 4-5 decent L1 players with good potential to step up at this level for the price of one top end Championship player.

I think City should concentrate on buying young lads and developing them into Championship players.

I've said the same thing on our forum. Give up on overpriced proven Championship players and cherry pick the best from League One, after all that's what got us here in the first place ffs.

If you had bought some player for, say £5m, he would have to turn out brilliant for you to make any money on him.

Buy 3 or 4 top L1 players and you'd probably make a profit on 2.

Yes it did and you know it. Your in with the 1st chance youve had in 15 years of getting back to the pl your fans are getting giddy there would of been 28/29k there do you not think?

We got 29k once last season at a tenner a ticket, even at 'reasonable' prices there'd be no more than 27k there yesterday, trust me, the shite offered up last season had more of an effect than the prices.

It seems this is exactly what it is, SL wasted £40m chasing the prem only for us to be relegated, and doesn't want to be in the same position again so is refusing to pay over the odds for players/to players.

indeed, seems SL has loosened the purse strings a little, not a problem if we are looking at players who will have sell on value imo, just dont want us to get overpaid journeymen coming in again
