Overall Swindon deserved to win but the ref was absolutely atrocious Swindon players started to run up to him after every challenge and he bottled it and give them everything still think Swindon best side we played at home but today what a set of moaning gets

Tbf, if your players weren’t intent on hacking down ours in the first half, the ref wouldn’t have had to get involved.

That piece of shit, Sheridan giving the middle finger to the fans at the final whistle.

I’m torn between wanting Sheridan to fail at Oldham but I like Oldham as a club and would like them to stay up.

I don’t think we will go up, tranmere certainly won’t.
As one of the more pessimistic Rovers fans posting on here, even I don't agree with this. After last night's win we still have a decent chance of at least making the play-offs and once you're in those anything can happen.

How Mansfield fare depends on whether there are any after-effects from this game/ Bounce back quickly and no reason why you won't be in contention for promotion.

Wouldn’t you if you’d spent 90 minutes getting abused? I know I would. The obsession is unhealthy.

Absolutely selatic anybody would think Sheridan ruined a well run club when he was in charge at Swindon they had a madcap chairman and Sheridan lost both his parents in quick succession they lost Doyle and Yates from the team that went up I’ve always preferred Oxford if I’m honest

Oldham defended well today. Never did a lot second half but possibly a question mark about how much we deserved the win as most of our moves broke down around the 18 yard box. Need to do better but lacking bodies especially at the attacking end of the pitch with McKirdy and Barry unavailable.

Quite enjoyed the game. Bit of a throw back with some strong challenges. Made for an entertaining 0-0.

Not going to comment on Sheridan as I hope Oldham as a club stay in the football league.

I’ve got nowt against Swindon at all, and most of their lot on here seem decent but the Sheridan thing is just a bit obsessive when, as you say, there were multiple factors in their relegation

He was fully complicit in Power’s plan to get us relegated - with the idea that it would put off any other potential buyers so he could put the club in admin, wipe out the £6m he owed Michael Standung and carry on sucking any money he could lay his hands on.

If Sheridan had just been a useless manager trying his best, then fair enough - we’ve had a few if them. But for a supposed football man being willing to try and bury a football club he deserves all the hate.

If you’ve evidence that Sheridan was actively trying to relegate you then I can’t argue - you will clearly know more about it than I do. However it seems much more plausible that he was dealing with a very difficult set of personal circumstances which negatively impacted his work

Just found out that Tony Craig, who went off injured today, has broken his collar bone.

That's gotta hurt!

Ouch. Probably consider calling it a day after a 17 year career? Been involved in a few battles!

0-0 was a fair reflection, we played a lot better than we have done for a long while and actually looked like we had a plan.

We had some chances in the first half and at the start of the second, but the game quickly descended into a predictable 0-0, first away clean sheet for us in 5 months.

Defended a lot better than recently - but nearly got punished by Omar Bogle.

A step in the right direction for us. I have also made the last train back.

Fucking hell yeah I forgot about that, powder puff effort, could've farted harder.

True though, neither of us deserved anything more than 0-0, a decent point for Orient all things considered.

I said on the promotion thread that I believe that one of Tranmere or Northampton will fall away. We tried playing for 1-0s in the past few games and it just doesn't work. Eventually teams wise up to it. Sutton are great at what they do but it's such a non league approach of booting it up and trying to outmuscle the opposition that surely the better teams will overcome in the run in.

Glad Bradford have got their first win under Hughes out of the way in time for playing them next week.

We desperately need to win on Tuesday. If we do, we're right in the mix with games in hand.

The thing is we aren’t trying to battle for 1-0 wins, we simply don’t have anyone to stick the ball in the back of the net. For example today we should have been a couple ahead at half time, but weren’t and we got punished. Same with Walsall at home, should have been out of sight but got pegged back.

Going forward we just aren’t good enough, but we’ve got two massive centre halves with heads like trebuchets and a winger with a belting left peg.

last night felt very much like a “cup final” approach with how fans were putting it across, eosdically given the games in hand we’ve got, and well, sadly we couldn’t get the point we should have got especially with the winner being offside, but heyho.

Thought tranmere had a top half quality side about them as did we, this league is pretty open and anyone has a chance

Look at us, over 8000 at the match and we're the 2nd worst team in the league who are fighting relegation.

Just shows how massive we are doesn't it compared to most other clubs down here.
Was just about to ask why the big crowd this weekend, apart from the massiveness of course?

Sutton look the weakest from playing them all recently glad Tomlin was out they would have kicked the shite out of him.
I wasn’t expecting that from Sutton, that was some kind of anti-football. You don’t see that style of play often these days. We joined in a little with them during the first half in the swirling wind. Terrible game of football in the first half really.

We were playing the mighty high flying fashionable club of Northampton Town. So all our fans came out to see such a great footballing team full of big named players

Yeah from the games I’ve seen from Sutton I keep expecting them to fall off, but they’ve churned out some cracking results - fair play to them

Very limited talent wise Sutton in terms of technical play but very effective at what they do, think Stevenage when they first came up.

They beat us 4-3 with us leading 3-2 into the 88th minute and we looked miles ahead of them technically but just didn’t deal with the aerial bombardment.

Fair play, they don’t have the money of most at this level so have found a way to get results I guess.

Some years ago [decades ago] I remember Northampton & Carlisle always got promoted same season during both clubs success years.
So yes it is not surprising Carlisle hosted a large crowd agin their old adversaries.

I think to give Sutton their due they’ve built a very good team albeit not with many great individuals for this level. Add in a manager who I rate up their with DC (and from me that is really high praise) to me I absolutely think they are in the promotion race right to the end and deservedly so.

I just hope today our players draw confidence from how they played in the last 70 minutes of the game. They showed a positive mindset and were prepared to risk losing to go for the win and it paid off. That’s all I ask. We are the underdogs in the promotion race but at the same time I do feel if we are firing on all cylinders the others should be wary of coming up against us.

Tenner a ticket.

And people really like our manager so have started coming back to games.

If we're doing well then we average 6 - 8 thousand or more a week, but since we last got a promotion 15 years ago, we have had nothing but shit times mostly so our attendances are usually down to 4000.

I'd love to get them in the play offs as they looked poor against us. We took 4 points off them in the league and knocked them out the FA Cup.
