Didn't watch our game yesterday but sounded like we were so poor again.

3 losses on the bounce following our excellent performance against Bolton and Wade is now under a bit of pressure. Home to Morecambe and MK next - win both and he'll buy himself some time, lose both and he could be a goner.
I just posted this over the road:

I didn't watch it, but we were shit. Like absolute dogshit. So shit, that it's hard to see a positive outcome for Wade Elliott if we don't get 6 points from the next two games (Morecambe and MK Dons at home).

This isn't to do Burton down, but if you travel to the team bottom of the League, you expect to have more than one shot on target (a shot that even the commentators on the radio couldn't remember). You don't expect to have 40% of possession, be completely outplayed and only be in the game at half-time because the keeper saved a penalty.

We're in real trouble, and it needs to be turned around fast or we'll be on the lookout for another manager pretty sharpish - looking at what's currently available, that doesn't fill me with any more confidence

Excellent point for us and seems we've got a template against the bigger sides to concede possession and be happy to defend. It'll not work all the time, it doesn't make for a great spectacle but we've now done it against Bolton, Charlton, Ipswich, Wednesday and picked up 5 points whereas last season we'd have not taken any by being too open and expansive.

In fact the three goals we conceded in those four games were all individual errors and we haven't conceded too many shots on target either, I think I read Wednesday had 17 yesterday but only 3 on target - the same as we had.

The trick now is to try and find a way against the sides around us, which we've not really been able to do (and to be fair, we've hardly played anyone around us so far this season, it's seems a constant barrage of the big and fancied sides).

A very well worked goal from our point of view, especially the passing exchange in the middle of the pitch.

I'm still getting over the fact that we dropped 2 points against you at home. We've dropped probably 6-8 points sloppily against teams we should really have beat. We'd be in a very good position by now but I guess it's all ifs and buts!

Think you'll be ok this season but probably bottomless half of league 1/ top half of league 2 is about where you should be? I'd say 12th-18th would be a really good season for you in league 1 at this moment in time? I'd be happy with that position for us realistically.

It didn’t work, we only started to look threatening when we went to a back 4 and Dapo went back to left wing, which is the position he is definitely best in. I think he may go back 4 midweek. And if he doesn’t he needs to go 523 and play Dapo wide. No way he will play Dapo wing back again surely.
Have to agree........stood out a country mile

TWTD is very biased like Pasoti but like our site we as fans tend to not see it.

OTIB for Bristol City is pretty hilarious to be honest for a football forum.

Since Mark Ashton moved to us in 2021, a 57 page of 30 posts has been created and they still joke about us every time they see something bad happens, which is rare at the minute (even as little as we lose). Christ they need to move on.

Our forum is interesting at the moment - we've got a Bolton fan desperate for attention regarding the work he's done checking out Dale Vince's dodgy dealing with Ecotricity, FGR and any other companies he owns.

People paid him lip service to begin with, but he's still coming back every few days pretending people are interested.

Surprised they haven't made an appearance on our forum...it was pretty heavily censored after Dale took over, anything deemed anti him or the management was immediately shut down...but now people seem to get away with some light criticism.

I wonder what he is up to...maybe not really a Bolton fan but some form of invesigative journalist, or someone with a bit of beef (see what I did there) with Dale.

I’ve had a look. Think he’s done similar on one of Bolton’s forums.

I don’t really get what this bloke is trying to do. If he has any real evidence of any dodgy dealings why not pass the info on to the relevant authorities rather then endlessly post on little used football forums.

They are pathetic tbh. Did you see their 2938 page thread dedicated to little old Rovers? of course we mean nothing to them these days they say...

He doesn't have anything concrete from what I can make out. As far as I can see, it comes down to rich businessman has done dodgy deals and found other people to take the fall.

He's a blowhard, desperate for attention. He got a bit at first from those Cheltenham fans who want to shit on everything FGR, but his way of presenting it is bloody frustrating. Just get to the point.

I said he should take it to someone that might actually care, but got short shrift.

I took time to read the thread and it is seems to be the writings of former disgraced Bolton Wanderer's chairman Ken Anderson, who Dale Vince exposed as a financial charlatan.
Before Anderson stood down the two men had a vicious war of words.

Had to look up who Doidge actually plays for after reading that. Retired up in Scotland I see...
