At the end of the day Carver we’re as tinpot as any other club in this league.

We’re shitly run, have one of the lowest budgets in the league. The owners’ business model is flog any half decent players for the first derisory offer that comes and hope we still manage to stay up the following season. We have a crumbling stadium that we can only 1/4 fill 99% of the time, we have a shit training pitch that isn’t fit for purpose, meaning we have to go around begging and borrowing other facilities. Oh and we are done by Errea, the shittest most tinpot kit supplier around.

We are the absolute definition of tinpot and will continue to be until these old boys sell up and piss off from our club.

I'm genuinely wishing someone had forgotten to put our front covers on.

They shoot horses. If I neigh would someone kindly shoot me.

If their are two worse teams I pity the poor sod who has to watch them.

Thank you for your sympathetic thoughts.

It appears we may be on today, can’t say I’m too excited by that prospect

I didn’t see the game personally tonight, but you have to fear for Crawley if that is true.
Our keeper had to make a couple of other saves and there was a header that beat him all hands up that just missed. Your keeper had to pick the ball up from our one shot on target (a header in the 90th minute)

Etherington has admitted it was really poor. He also said that some of the players in the dressing room spoke up. SOME!

Every time we get u23 coaches as managers we end up farting around with the ball at the back and barely have any shots but it seems our stats look good. I'm not averse to stats (I've done my own version of xg for years) but somewhere there mustve stats that actually reflect the game I'm watching. For instance discarding passes between centre backs and keepers, full backs and keepers and keepers to anyone!

Game is currently on at Sutton today. Hopefully we maximise this and get some points in between us and the bottom 2

Fuck off Grimsby fans, who do you think you are to talk crap about Carlisle when your game was called off in August ffs! It's December right now and cold as out so that's normal for this league.

And you've been in the non league more than we have so it's where you belong and have always belonged really.

Grimsby deservedly ahead at h/t, much the greater attacking threat.

Finally a league win, looked comfortable until we decided to gift them a freak goal, which invited pressure for the last 15 mins but held on.

Final score at Sutton was a 1-0 win for the home side. The most important thing was the 3 points. It wasn’t a good performance although Sutton were the better side.

Watched stevenage and mansfield on ifollow - a quality 0-0, pretty equal though mansfield had the better of the chances.

Well done to the 538 who made it down there!!

Think it's ten games without a win for Rovers now. Even after the Grimsby keeper had wellied the ball against Jake Burton for the Rovers goal, the hosts looked more likely to extend the lead than we did to level, though Mumbongo did have one decent chance. Glad I stayed at home, but credit to the SWA who braved the cold and travel challenges to watch that.

Two evenly matched sides, in a largely uneventful 0-0 vs Mansfield today. Mansfield's best chance probably fell to Oates within the first couple of minutes. Ours probably fell to Norris towards the end. Mansfield had a spell in the second half where they looked the more likely to do something but they never really fashioned an opportunity during that period of pressure.

Thought the club did well to get the game on but towards the end I think the players were slipping over quite a bit, probably would have been postponed had it been an evening kick off. Shame we didn't fully take advantage of being one of the few sides in the top places playing. Still can't sniff at a point versus a side in the play-offs, particularly Mansfield who always seem to get the better of us.

Terrible game against the hoofing Womble giants today. Need a decent striker fast.

carlisle certainly have the numbers size etc to be a comfortable league 1 side.

Clearly obviously much higher before though

Went through every kind of weather imaginable from snow, sleet and fog before Leeds... then the east half of the trip bathed in bright sunshine and no snow in sight! The way back, more of the same. Good ol' Penines, eh...

We're shite and we're crying out for both new management and personnel. Grimsby were the better side and looked a threat going forward, albeit we could barely string two passes together for much of the first half. We looked slightly better when resorting to hoofing it in the second, but only way we were ever going to score was through a good old fashioned keeper error. I'm genuinely concerned that we will be fighting relegation unless we somehow find some money to spend in January, as I can't see how we plan to score any goals otherwise. A highly sedate atmosphere for Blundell Park's lofty standards, presumably down to both side's terrible recent form. 240 away fans was 140 more than I anticipated, looking at the weather, and 240 more than the team deserved. We'd have taken 800 two seasons ago, weather or not.
