AFC Rushden & Diamonds travel to Fleet Town in search of their third straight league win to maintain their six point advantage at the top. A 6-1 home win over Arlesey Town on Tuesday evening extended the Diamonds gap, although St Ives Town and Kings Langley, in second and third, both have a game in hand. Fleet have lost two of their last three league games, they were due to play at home on Tuesday but the fixture against Egham Town was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Their last five home games have been postponed so any Rushden fans making one of their longest trips of the season should keep a close eye on the weather.

Aldershot Town v Tranmere Rovers
Altrincham v Lincoln City
Cheltenham Town v Welling United
Dover Athletic v Gateshead
FC Halifax Town v Forest Green Rovers
Grimsby Town v Boreham Wood
Kidderminster Harriers v Macclesfield Town
Southport v Braintree Town
Woking v Guiseley
Wrexham v Bromley

Eastleigh v Barrow is OFF because their field is unplayable.
Relegation six pointer between Torquay and Chester is also OFF.

Home to Tranmere tomorrow and while we are in good form so are they. Think they'll probably sneak a win but am hopeful we can get something.

Finally we get to go head to head with FC United of Manchester Tomorrow at Broadhurst Park. Been looking forward to this one all season! Couldn't really have picked a better time either. We are on red hot form, 9 unbeaten with 7 of those wins. We should be fresh too after an 13 day break due to the weather. So Confident we can get our 4th straight away win at an inconsistent FCUM. 3-1 to us.

No Stanley or Hearn for us.

I suspect we'll be the same 16 as last week against Eastleigh.

Away to Woking for us. Cards fans predicting their boys will play like dentists and slaughter the lions. I think it will be a closer contest but still not expecting to leave with any points.

Must win tomorrow - albeit they basically all are now - especially with Eastleigh not playing. Owe Guiseley some revenge after the farsical scenes at their place.

We'll play shit all game, get a load of bookings and then nick it via a 98th minute deflection. Halifax fans will all say we're crap despite all the money spunked up the wall, have no chance of winning the league and that our support is shit.

Jon Parkin will get called a fat bastard, many times, and home fans will brainlessly chant "Yorkshire, Yorkshire" if anything kicks off at any point.

We'll have the 3 points though.

Eastleigh probably watered the pitch themselves.

A win for us would open up a nice gap on the teams below, with Dover vs Gateshead in mind. it will be interesting to see if Higdon starts and what the formation is given his arrival and the suspension of Jennings our captain. I'd like to see a 4-4-2, but Brabin will probabaly go a more cautious 4-3-2-1 with narrow wide players.

How many players do you think will be knocked out in the mass brawl this year?

If I wade in, this time there wont be any Halifax players left standing.:box:

Without that Asspin's thuggish tactics, I doubt there will be as much aggro this time though. Jim's a gent.

We're playing Welling for the 1st time since the last day of the 98/99 season when we were promoted to the Football League. I remember that day well, shite game finished 0-0. One of their fans full on punched the bar in the terrace behind the goal when they missed a chance which practically consigned them to relegation and, despite going down (they were saved by someone else going bust), their players gave ours a guard of honour when we went out to lift the trophy.

As for tomorrow, we should win. Don't see the team changing much to the last two games.

I wonder how many fans your manager will phone to apologise to this time?

All of them, to apologise for the daylight robbery after you've played us off the pitch but got beat with a jammy injury time winner.

The Yorkshire chant is never heard at The Shay unless we're playing a worthy opponent from Lancashire. Your tiny club fails on both counts.

As you still have a team of complete twats, don't count on it.

Well done Sparrow!

Reportedly the Fleet Town pitch was in good nick today and bodes well for tomorrow, however rain is due in the morning which may put things in doubt once again. Interstingly Fleet have only lost 3 of their 12 home games to date, and with only 2 draws this is a much harder game than it initially looks on paper. Fleet are in 17th mostly due to their inability to pick up 3 points away, managing just once.

For Diamonds it will be good to keep up in the number of games played, and as you say getting one of the longest trips of the season completed on a Saturday is important.

Hard not to have half an eye on next week where we are due to St Ives and then Kings Langley at home, the teams currently occupying 2nd and 3rd, both currently 6 point behind.

Also worth noting that the delayed game of Fleet vs Egham is very interesting to us as Egham can overtake us from their games in hand, but they are now up to 4 games to catch 10 points. Recent results have also meant that a draw in there still requires some work on the GD for Egham.

Hoping for a big 3 points to maintain our lead and hope someone in the pack can drop off a little. Out of the other 5 in the title race I can only see Chalfont dropping off as they visit Beaconsfield who gave us a kick up the backside.

It seems Jennings isn't suspended after all and Rovers have everyone save Hogan available. I don't think Higdon will start this, but may feature from the bench, likewise Adam Mekki returning from injury against his old club. A few weeks ago, I thought we'd win this, but with the hosts good form and the passing of Mr Burt as a rallying point, not that confident of getting anything now.

Braintree get a lot of flak about their pitch on here, but Eastleigh, plans for fancy stadium notwithstanding, do sod all about theirs despite their large budget. Hopefully the fixture backlog will come back to haunt them.

Interesting games at Dover involving two possible play-off contenders and Southport, where Braintree will be looking to continue a post deluge climb up the table, while I'd expect goals at Kidderminster's hard to call clash with Macc.

Looking forward to tomorrow, can see us sneaking a 2-1 but won't be easy. Should be a good crowd and a good game of football.

Our home record against Braintree is played 4, lost 4, scored 0, conceded 12. Our pitch is currently like a farmer's field too, so Braintree will feel right at home. I don't hold out much hope for this one!

Us and Bromley are both in poor form. I'm going for 3-1 not sure who to.
