Via The_Boss: "Sorry for the early match day thread but thought it's probably the best place for this to go.....
http://mobile.mtfc.co.uk//news/article/lee-rigby-family-to-attend-armed-forces-day-2911829.aspx

We're holding an Armed Forces Day this Saturday against Aldershot, all past and present servicemen and women are being given free admission to the game, fittingly against Aldershot with their towns rich history within the forces. Also Lee Rigby's family will be attending to raise awareness of the charity Scotty's Little Soldiers. Hopefully will see a good turnout to pay respects and thanks to the sacrifices they all make for us."

It's been a while since I've done one of these and after the success of the Garry Hill thread and no one really wants just a thread with the fixtures posted in it, resembling the same amount of effort Brett Williams applies when not playing on TV.

Since the last batch of fixtures, 14 days have passed so here's a reminder of where we're at...

Cheltenham manager Gary Johnson finds out the FA postpone their league game with Kidderminster:

Forest Green Rovers and Eastleigh have signed strikers Brett Williams and Kaid Mohamed in their bids to buy promotion...

Wrexham fans are beginning to lose patience with manager Gary Mills...

I'll give yer that, lovely!

Edit - 2nd thoughts, Mohamed has signed for Eastleigh, not FGR. And I was trying to get some attention for the Armed Forces Day at Macc which is now completely lost behind your juvenile stupidity.

Why did you have to spoil it at the end? I have never once made comment about the lack of mention of Alfreton`s fixtures.

Other than that it was a commendable effort.

Hahaha great preview. Scotty's Little Soldiers, though? Isn't that what Rendell calls you Woking fans after your crowdfunder?

Altrincham have been a bit of bogey side for us over the past few seasons so feel a bit wary of this one, as we need to keep the pressure up on the top two and keep Dover and Eastleigh at arm's length.

Great work sparrow although our guy needed a noose around his neck and a burning effigy of brabin for realism

Well done redeeming yourself for the wumming! I love it when the forum has good match threads with humour in them.

We're going to Aylesbury FC (not United, who also play in the same league, Aylesbruy FC are the good one, this season at least).

We sit top by a point with a game in hand according to the table. Aylesbury are 7th having played 2 (or 3, see below) less than us, 10 (or 11) points behind.

Except really we're top by 2 having played the same. Just waiting for the appeal period for the abandoned Kings Langley game to expire for the table to be updated.

Realistically we need a win to stay top of the league. Chalfont should have a de-facto home win against Aylesbury United. St Ives are likely to win at Godalming, even though we didn't, and Egham who can go ahead on GD if we lose and they win have a not too difficult game at home to Barton Rovers. If we lose (or even if it gets postponed) we can realsitically end the day in 4th!

Well what good is showing a pitch in the dark? We have no idea what it looks like in the dark. Poor attempt at trolling Cheltenham.

The picture shows how to actually keep your pitch playable.

That's what happens when you let the team your fans apparently "hate" play on your pitch, I actually think you lot quite like Gloucester, they bring you much needed income! Relying on Gloucester City

You do realise we scored 3 in our last game?

As for Saturday, generally our rule has been this season if we play anyone in the top half we lose and if we play someone in the bottom half we win - as Macclesfield are top half I expect we'll lose.

But that goes against our current rule which is that if we play away we win, and if we play at home we lose. I'd say that means it'll end up a draw, but we don't do draws.

Not arsed. Worst Wrexham-Lincoln encounter in history, 0-0.

Our first meaningful game for a fortnight tomorrow when we Host Chorley at the Impact.

We seem to be on the crest of a wave at the moment. Confident and hungry for success which is great to see. Scored 9 and Conceded 1 in our County Cups Outings recently too. Chorley have sold their top scorer to Salford this week so it appears to be a good time to play them. We have only won 3 home league games all season though. Need to improve that starting with tomorrow hopefully.

Not sure why some of our fans are getting obsessed about Cheltenham. Should concentrate on ourselves, win on Saturday and we're back at the top. Easy.

Shouldn't this go in the conf North thread?
