Abother bloody southern club, but after going down after surviving on the knife edge for so long - then to relocate - have a new a stadium and come back up is remarkable.

Congratulations all - enjoy the summer and go from there.

Welcome back

Hello lads. Where's the craic at? Will we be seeing McChunky at the Hive next season?

Surprised at the divide in the league next season. Either nice local games (Chavenage, Luton, Dons, Cambridge etc) or absolute treks (Hartlepool, Carlose, Plymouth). There are things to miss about the Conference but it's good to be back. Thoughts we'd be there a good while longer.

Good to see Barnet come back up again, decent fans and easy from Mansfield though its a bit of a trek.

Last time we were down there they had a problem with klunkous or someone over the ground - glad to see they've relocated without that issue

Looking forward to reigniting our intense rivalry with Barnet, the one I have no understanding of. Can someone enlighten me?

I assume this was due to this so-called rivalry, or was it a genuine spelling mistake? :dk:

I also don't know why we're apparently rivals. But let's start this off correctly anyway. We're gunna shit on you next season etc etc.

Carlose was an autocorrect but extremely apt. Think I'll leave that how it is!

Goes back to when we were both in the Conference in 2005 and a bad tempered game at Brunton Park, you beat us 3-1 and our manager accused Barnet of gloating as if they'd won the league already (in October) none of this was ever verified but it set the mood for the season.

We have no natural rivals so will gladly accept any chance of playing a 'derby' next year. While in a survey a couple of years back, Barnet fans ranked us 3rd in their list of biggest rivals.

It dates back from 04/05 but I can't even remember how it started, something to do with the way we celebrated our win at Brunton Park?
Anyway it's good to be back. Lots of local matches for us.

Hopefully that Barnet fan who posted on one of our previous threads is still around, the one who was in love with Akinde.

Bristol Rovers look favourites to come up via the play offs, hopefully not though. Eastleigh in the FL would be quite funny.

Playoffs are a bit of a lottery. I don't know whether to hope for Grimsby just to balance the southernness of this division next season or just say what the hell, let's go the whole hog have Eastleigh up.

Welcome back Barnet. Nice to have a southern based northern club in the league.

Can you move your ground closer to the Northern Line so we can resume the Nirthern Line

Well done Barnet, great to see the biggest Conference club make their way back to the FL.

Still don't like the Gas then. Lol.

Got a City fan where I work, and he comes into work every Monday morning laughing his head off.
When asked why are you laughing, his reply is,.....

"The Gas got fucking relegated into non league football"

Its almost too good to be true at times. If Forest Green beat them in the play offs then that will top them being relegated I think

Well done Barnet. Led throughout which is some achievement. Feel a little sorry for Rovers finishing on 91 and not going up, especially in their first season down there.

Looking forward to the more local games next season.

Good to see you back.

The"rivalry" was if I remember rightly to do with OTT celebrations at the end of the first game, and then your fans apparently getting bricks thrown at them after it.

Then later on that season the 97th minute equaliser when you became champions, then the following season when we were heading for the League 2 title, we went over the top with our underhill victory celebrations.

I think we should renew this rivalry for old times sake and to add a bit of something to next season seeing as we'll both be challenging for the L2 title. Maybe we should start a Barnet V Carlisle United rivalry thread.
