Nothing wrong with the quote button; it all arose from someone making a botched attempt to quote a selection from Terraceman's post, and the ensuing posts quoting it and subsequent replies getting a bit messed up.

If you want to quote someone's post properly, make sure only the post you want to quote is quoted (and not any other posts it's got mixed up with), the opening and closing quote tags are not inadvertently tampered with, and to remove any stray quote tags.

Loving that Burton got promoted. I have seen them play Corby Town during the late 80s early 90s (although can't seem to find any proof having looked at what league it was but guessing the Bezzer Holmes Prem) but love the fact they have risen from the level of my non league home team, to being in the same division as Wolves.

Will be added to the list of Crawley and Stevenage that I have seen play both of my sides.

Here's the proof you need, assuming this site is a pretty accurate source, from when both sides were playing in the Southern League Premier Division (or Beazer Homes PD) from the period you mentioned (except during 1990-91 when Corby had been relegated from the Premier):

http://www.fchd.info/lghist/south1993.htm
http://www.fchd.info/lghist/south1994.htm
http://www.fchd.info/lghist/south1995.htm

And you can look at these links to get a clear overview of each clubs' history, with 1994-95 being the last season the clubs have played in the same division - and with Burton being promoted to the Championship and Corby relegated back to the Southern League Premier from the National League North this season, a sad indicator of the gulf that has opened up between those clubs since then:

Cheers, just had a quick look and looks accurate. Cheltenham in there that league too, had forgot about that. Corby nearly went out of business so am just glad they still exist, especially as Rushden & Diamonds went out of business (although now reformed) and so did Rothwell. Corby have done wonders in growing the fan base in the 10 or so years since I moved, as a kid they barely used to break 250.

It's tragic that so many people in the town like football but never give the local team a go. Especially considering the amount of idiots that will gladly go and watch Celtic or Rangers in the pub every Saturday instead.

As a Stoke fan, I have nothing but admiration for Burton. They're a local(ish) team to me and therefore within their surroundings they have some much bigger fish, yet they've somehow scrapped and battled their way to the Championship. They've come from miles behind Port Vale and overtaken them :D :D :D

Chuffed for them, and can't wait to visit for our pre-season match with them, July 16th. Should be a corker.

Most of my mates are Potters fans but they come to watch the Albion too, far more than they used to, alliances are beginning to change. They used to rip me to bits years ago but now I see some of them home and away with the Brewers there local team.

I go to Albion games with 2 Stoke fans every game. They even had season tickets till last year.
They prefer the trip down the a50
I think they are mad personally
