Assuming we're still here I've very happy with Burton. They're almost in Derbyshire and I think wished they were.

2 good local games, we need to stay up. League 2 is fucking miserable.

I don't even though we are that close to the border I walk me dog into Derbyshire every day :bg:

It was slightly tongue in cheek but I've always got the impression, rightly or wrongly, that Burton on Trent is Staffordshire more by luck than design.

ps I hope you take your dog shit back with you!

You can get to Burton on a Derbyshire Wayfarer so that's good enough for me :)

Arrgghhh!! When you see these 2 come up and think that we could easily go down, its bloody annoying, especially when you consider Wigan and possibly Rotherham could be joining them in League One. If we miss out on this northern league next season, I'll be pig sick.

If we go down this season I'll be beyond gutted. 2 very decent away days for us.

Wanted Burton to come up last season, seeing as it would've been one of the closer away games. Fair play to them for storming the league this time round though, especially as they took a fairly big punt on Hasselbaink. Won't be long before the big boys start coming in for him

Chuffed for Burton, good little club and only fifteen miles from me in NW Leicestershire.

Two great memories playing them at VP in the last two meetings, the 3-0 win the day we went into administration and finally got a club back and spent the last 15 minutes all on our feet singing as one again after what had happened in the years preceding and the great 7-1 in front of 10k on a Friday night which edged us virtually to promotion. Hopefully we can get the point we need to ensure we can meet again and a visit to the Pirelli and the pub near the Coors factory.

Half right. Your police had shit all the local landlords up after those Neanderthals had wrecked the place the year before.

Us and Burton had a bit of a love-in last time we met in the final game of our championship season, in all my years following Gills I can't remember us singing the opposition's name before or since. Great day out in the sunshine even though we got beaten.

Happy Shrewsbury are coming straight back up, don't want to sound patronising but a good little club, with a tidy stadium and a decent fanbase.
