We very rarely have away fans in the south stand, only Swansea, Huddersfield and Hull from memory.. unless Lincoln have taken 4,000+ to Gigg Lane at some point before I started supporting them.

Last few blocks of the main stand are only used if the Cemetery End has sold out, again a fairly rare occurrence.

No but anywhere in Lincolnshire sounds like a shithole, I mean come on the ugly names of some of the towns round there just prove it. Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Dunston etc.

Please no, this is another reason to go up. Losing to Bury away in the FA Cup seemed to be an annual occurrence a few years back, and we don't have a much better record in the league.

Your last six league fixtures against us has yielded two wins, three draws and only one defeat.

07/08, 2010/2011 & 2012/13 saw our cup wins.

Regarding our club it will be an interesting summer. Our chairman, who happens to also be a compulsive liar, has pledged he has 'learned his lesson' and has promised the budget of questionable money will be lessened in favour of the highly rated youth players. I really hope that this happens then we might see some stability in the playing squad. The last three years have been farcical at Giggle Lane in that department.
Regarding the management job, up until recently I was behind Lowe getting it for next season. Going into March we were making a real scrap for survival, however that has vanished since pissing away a two goal lead against Oldham. The games, performances and decisions have steadily got worse since. Thus now I can no longer support his apparent appointment. Especially considering it could well be 11 straight defeats come the end of the season.
The problem is we have a chairman who is determined to make a name for himself to the point that he will be on the radio on the eve of the season declaring an imminent title challenge, whilst maintaining championship ambitions. Regardless of who is in charge he won't make the simple appointment. There will be a load of lies and spin about nobody being right for Bury Fc and Lowe 'being the man,' despite God awful form. He will then probably pluck some ex Terrier manager out of nowhere and appoint him before heralding himself for making the appointment.

Speaking of which though, he seriously needs to have a conversation with Lowe, because Lowe seems to think he is about to be confirmed as manager whereas Day said on the radio at weekend that no decision has been made.

In an ideal world with a normal, none deluded, none attention seeking chairman I'd take Alexander, Rosler or Challinor and Woodthorpe from Fylde. Realistically it will be Lowe or some other deluded has been.
On the pitch, unless something drastic happens then I'd take a position of 16th-20th next season and see it as a genuine success.

You disgust me, you should be proud of where you are from. Try living somewhere like Grimsby or Lincoln ffs then you will see what a dive is mate.

Likewise, been in every stand apart from the Main Stand as an away fan.

Manny Road End for two league games and a league cup tie.
Cemetery End for our last league game against them.
South Stand for a JPT tie in 2011.

Lincoln is a lovely small city to visit , great for a weekend break with your significant other or a trip for the Christmas market every decade or so. The Cathedral is probably Top 5 in England but its a cathedral. Great to visit , once. The steep hill area of Lincoln is beautiful and historic.

Basically a great little place to visit but not to live. Even with major development at the Wharf/Univeristy , it still very much feels like an isolated one horse (pretty) town.

Ok so maybe Lincoln is such a nice place to live, so why then do they let the dump that is the football club stick out like a sore thumb? The cringyness of an air raid siren for every corner they get must be a nuisance to those living close by having to hear it.

Give me Lincoln over Nottingham any day, and yes I have lived and worked in Nottingham for several years. At least in Lincoln you don't fear about getting shot (Nottingham) or stabbed (London) where you come from.

On that basis you choose Lincoln over London, New York, Sydney, Chicago, Tokyo LA basically any large metropolis in the world. Rather you than me lol

If you are of more elder years then that is a very understandable viewpoint, safety is very important to the elderly. Plus you have a beautiful cathedral to visit weekly

Tbh if I was old and retired maybe I would choose Lincoln over Nottingham but I’m not either. Saying that that Hill to the lovely historic bit is a killer so maybe not !!!!!
I’ve also heard Devon and Cornwall are lovely.

Middle aged, so theres plenty of pubs and eateries that provide decent food and drink, which there are plenty in and around Lincoln. The point I was trying to make is that I personally prefer Lincoln to Nottingham and have lived and worked in both. In fact the first night I ever went out in Nottingham City centre, we got tear gassed out of the pub because of a local dispute, really welcoming!

It'd be an idea if LCC upgraded the roads to keep up with all the developments in Lincoln. The place has been a building site for about 10 years solid now.

Yep, driving in Lincoln is one huge drawback. It's simply gridlock, in lots of places. Far worse than much bigger places, but for me, it's worth the huge traffic problems on small antiquated roads. I work up near Cherry W where the road is being worked on for the bypass, at least the new contractors are finally getting back on with the job at hand.

I was in Lincoln about five years ago. There was ad EDL rally and two cops approached me, a bit worried I had been mistaken for somebody else or had done something without realising, I watched on in bemusement as the two 6ft four men knelt down to stroke and pat my bet boxer dog who of course loved the attention.

I seem to remember a long cobbled road and there was a massive wine shop, then next to it was what appeared to be a much smaller one. To this day I have never been sure if that was just an extension of the big one or a chap trying to get started with limited room. Needless to say I went in the small shop and bought an excellent Sardinia red, a Sicily red and an Indian Sauvignon blanc. Happy days.

Any Imps or Keithh clarify if you can. I was on holiday in Lincolnshire at the time, as long as you stay away from the wide open, commercial Skeggy, it really is a lovely part of the world.

Ahh Lincoln, remember it well. Walking back after a match towards the station, it was a lovely day so myself and a couple of others took a few snaps of the cathedral as we walked towards it.
Little did we know that this was against the rules of the Wetherspoons on the left and out ran 7-8 drunks who immediately starting swinging at us!
Funnily they seemed to fail to notice the 3 police officers behind us and was arrested within 15 seconds.
I am 6’2” so not easily missed with a swing but I still managed to duck and kick the blokes legs away to have him on his arse!
Police found it funny, we ended up having to drink in the awful pub opposite the station as we had 45 mins wait for the train.
Never returned since!

Lincolns a good day out. For whatever reason there were seeningly 500 coppers out for our game, and you could tell there were a few "lads" pur for trouble, we have our fair share unfortunately too.

Apart from the game, which we won, the local and the pubs were excellent, good day out
