Today I organised a bucket collection at the Shay for the victims of the Boxing Day flooding in the Calder Valley, including Sowerby Bridge, Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd and Todmorden. I am very pleased to say our bucket outside the Skircoat Stand today had £330.57 in it by kick-off. Money donated entirely from the travelling fans.
A big well done to all contributing Wrexham fans, having already paid for travel, food, drink and then admission, to dig deep for the people of Calderdale in need of housing, repairs and other requirements. Every penny will be going towards the emergency flood fund held by the Community Foundation for Calderdale. You turned up in great numbers today which made the occasion, and I wish your obviously talented side all the best in the new year.
