So.... we're back. Did anybody miss us? (Besides teams with 12 fans and one stand who are guaranteed 6 points a season)

Let's face it, I don't care if mathematically it's not over, we all know Dagenham and York are going to be gracing non-league next season, so with that in mind?

What's changed since we were last here? It's been quite some time for the Daggers but only 4 years since we were around. Who are the money bags we need to watch out for? (Ignore FGR, they never go up anyway) Are there any decent players we can be linked to and inevitably lose out on? What are the worst grounds we get to salivate over visiting? Will I storm to victory and dominate in the yearly awards for most pessimistic poster once more or is there an even more miserable bastard I need to knock off the perch?

My local game, so great if we don't go up :) So long as it's not like the last year's game...

The league is worse than when you left. There's many friends to make with the FGR and Woking contingent still!

Welcome back to Non League. Will Jackie be still in charge next season do you think?

Hope we draw you in a cup competition, have wonderful memories of our 1-0 win at Bootham Crescent back in 2011

McNamara will be in charge according to the chairman (in some bizarre long rambling diatribe posted on our website... one too many sherries I think...), I'd much rather we binned everyone and got somebody with non-league nous in so we don't get embarrassed every single week but we're committed to this new model and vision. Which is basically get young promising players in we can sell on and pay bugger all to, so I think we can all work out how that's going to go next season down here. The brutes will be salivating at playing us and literally kicking us all over the park, games may be actually be played with our central midfielder instead of a ball.

The league is about to get a whole lot worse now we're in it PH ;)

I still have nightmares about Tranmere.... you started this awful 85th+ minute curse we've had for two years.

That sounds like a risky stragey. Are you struggling financially?

Also BTW still consider this karma for taking Jason Mooney off us last season, only for him to go and warm the bench. Even if it was a decision made by your former manager. ;)

I knew when you hired Wilcox that you were on a slippery slope, awful awful manager.

Just buy a load of brutes and a goal scorer and you'll be fine. None of that fancy 'passing football' malarkey will do in this league anymore.

I'd still gladly take Coulson off you, how's he done these past four years?

Eastleigh and FGR are this year's money bags. You also have Barrow who have a bit of cash, possibly some from the lower leagues coming up?

We'll be awash with tinpot hobby clubs anyway. You also have Grimsby and Tranmere who manage to balance being ex league clubs of notable pedigree AND able to splash the cash. Tranmere are managed by Gary Brabin though so they aren't a threat to anyone.

Nobody really knows, the constant delays to the stadium have meant McGill has been forced to keep plugging holes with his own money as Bootham Crescent is falling apart and costs hundreds of thousands to keep safe every single year. He's obviously been sold on this strategy, I don't think it'll work at all down here if I am being honest, even if we find brilliant players we all know they'll be on 1-2 year deals and the moment they do anything or not will disappear either for sod all or on a free anyway, so quite why he feels this will honestly work when we can't afford to hand out lengthy contracts is anybody's guess.

I'd definitely have us down for one of next season's strugglers truth be told, I doubt we'll go down but don't expect us to trouble anywhere near the top of the table.

As for Mooney.... why on earth did we even take him back, he was abysmal for us!

Coulson has been class, albeit injury prone (as you probably predicted), he's sodding off up to Scotland anyway so alas neither of us will get him!

Sadly we're buying tippy tappy kids who will get smashed by half this league . Wilcox is abysmal, you're correct, he's a massive reason we are here.

Oh Brabin, fond memories of him having a total meltdown when he brought Luton to our place.

Really? He started a bit shaky but as the season went on was fucking fantastic for us. He size and reach used to scare the shit out of Non League players. Seems to be doing a stellar job at Accy too. Perhaps you where unfortunate with him

Mooney perhaps just had rabbit in the headlights syndrome for us, he was a useless gangly clown but I guess he wanted to fit in with the rest of our squad of feckless misfits ;)

You have nightmares about Tranmere? We have nightmares about York! I remember the Valentines Day Capitulation like it was yesterday, my Mrs didn't have the best romantic weekend last year...

I've been to watch York a couple of times this year, and you actually won both of those, so I can't comment on how bad you've been or anything like that. And Pablo, you had to bring it up... it took me about a week to get over that game.

Maybe Tranmere and York are in an abusive relationship cos neither of us seems to come out of it well.

I'm not sure, we're doing everything in our power to kill our credibility. First time in ages a club that went up came down, it was destiny to be us .

Welcome back York - prepare to get reamed by Jason Walker next season....

It's inevitable. If everybody signs ex-York boys you'll be golden.

Will you be getting Brodie back on your books? About time he rotated again

I'm pretty sure his statue would be more effective than our current players.

Already? What the actual fuck, that must be the shortest stay ever. Sorry we won't be around to provide your big derby match/cup final. :ds:

We don't need you any more, we've got Guiseley to satisfy our morbid fascination with losing to local clubs. Maybe even Harrogate.... Oh I'm feeling all faint.

York, always rains always postponed especially if its a Saturday...

I'm sure we'll both have about 10 postponed games to look forward to replaying in February and March next season!

Sadly I don't think you will have the pleasure of a Grimsby visit next season as we are bang in form and will therefore stroll through the play offs.......

I've been to your place in the FL days and had a game postponed due to a waterlogged pitch in October.
Very rare we have a home game called off especially for waterlogging but I guess York is notorious for flooding in general.

I'm glad that we'll no longer be signing ex-York players. In recent memory, we've had Kerr, McLaughlin, Doig, Fyfield and Rodman and none of them were particularly good.

I'd also like to say that that York team that was promoted was probably the best team I've seen in our 6 years down here. No ones come close to that level IMO.

That York side along with Burr's Kiddy when they finished behind Mansfield and also Morrell's Wrexham when they were chasing down Fleetwood.

I actually thought Scott Kerr had a really good year here and was surprised when he was released.
And Rodman was hit and miss at first but the 2nd half of that season he was very good IMO and i was sad to see him leave.
Fully agree what you say about that York team though, brilliant football they played.

And Fleetwood themselves. And Luton 2014. That York 11-12 side finished a mile behind us that season, they might be the best footballing side to go up but overall there's been plenty of others that have been more dominant.

For us it has to be Crawley 10-11. They lost 3 all season and went their last 30 games unbeaten, as well as reaching 5th round of the FA Cup where they almost knocked out Man United.
