Hello Terry Bradshaw.

I actually had shingles when I was 14, it fucking sucked. It affects one side of the body, had a rash across the left side of my torso and it killed. Got three days off school, didn't wear a shirt that entire time (anything touching it was brutal), sat still for that entire time and played Gears of War. Thank fuck for that game, it was a good distraction.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Appendicitis that turned into peritonitis after three separate doctor visits wrote it off as anything other than part of my stomach exploding. When I was taken into A and E by my dad, I had a temperature off the scale and was a matter of hours from death.

A few years before that I fell out of a tree and fractured my spine. Still went to school the next day, mind.

I had shingles when I was 11, which was doubly a pain in the arse, because it wasn't serious enough to be off school, but I wasn't able to play for the school football team.

Other than that, a dislocated finger, a broken rib, operations on both elbows, both knees and both ankles.

Gout and T2 diabetes.:msi:

1998: Broken Leg and massive bump on head. Off school for 7 weeks.
1998: Meningococcal Septicaemia - Hours from death, doctors were shocked I was still walking, had to go to Stoke to intensive care for a few days before being transferred back to Walsall for a further week and half. All of the doctors were shocked that I walked away with all my limbs and full bodily functions. Off school for 3 weeks.
2007: Appendicitis, turned again into septicaemia due to it bursting, once again hours from death, pumped full of antibiotics then shoved into emergency surgery first thing the next morning. 7 days in hospital, 3 days back at home, and wound was infected and burst open again, rushed back to hospital in ambulance to have it un-stitched, cleaned out, filled with gauze and had to be changed and cleaned every 3 days at the doctors (Walk In Centre on weekends), was off school for 6 weeks.

Nothing to note otherwise of yet, but by the patterns established, I'm due another one this year, and I currently have a massive pain in my lower left abdomen which the doctor couldn't diagnose, in for a blood test Monday to hopefully see what's going on. I have a fun life...

My other two hospital visits have been 2 pulled ligaments in my right foot (same one), first time was ice skating when I lived in Australia, 2 weeks off school, the other was falling down the stairs at work with stock, went back to work a few days later though as I was put on security which is generally a sitting job, obviously in the case of shoplifters, I just had to call a manager down.

Whats the worst injury youve had? How long did it take you to recover from it? Did you follow a certain plan or just wing it? ( doing some market research on injuries incurred from football or it could be just an injury picked up in general day to day life ).

Toxic shock syndrome, stretched my earlobes to quick when I was a grunger.

Tore ankle ligaments playing football, out for 3 months.

Fucked my knee running the London marathon, after 5 minutes of playing football my knee starts clicking and the pain kicks in.

Concussions, broken hands etc.

I stubbed my big toe on the corner of my office desk once.

I called it (the desk) a c*** and kicked it with my other foot.

I've had my fair share of injuries, so I'm a bit familiar with pain if you know what I mean. I also have sensitive teeth, which make me nervous and uncomfortable so much that I cant wait til I pull all the little fuckers out.

But you know what's really making me twitchy and nervous as hell? I 'think' I have eczema on my fucking balls!

Bost my right leg on July 10th 2006. I was 9 turning 10 that month. Round my nans having a water fight in a quiet residential area on the road and pavement with 5 or 6 mates from the area. We were all kitted out with the little shitty £2 water guns you could buy from the corner shops. I just so happened to get shot in the eye, I stepped backwards into the road just as a car went past. I blacked out. When I woke up my leg was killing me and I had trouble standing, but what i moaned to my dad about the most when he came running was that my new Total 90 trainers got ripped up in the process! Got to Wolvo hospital in an ambulance after requesting pain relief (been watching Casualty), I took one whiff off the stuff and hated it, so I stuck with the pain. They told me after an Xray I had fractured my Tibia and Fibula, but I was promised some new replacement Total 90's so it wasn't all bad. What hurt the most about it wasn't the broken bones, it was when the giant cast that went past my knee was replaced with the shorter one that allowed my knee to bend. Bear in mind that my knee hadn't bent in a month, so finally being able to do so was absolute agony, it was like a rusty old hinge.
