Ok, first things first. I was checking out the non league forum and I found this post from Son of Cod on page 10 of this thread - Wrexham Hollywood takeover. - to be quite interesting. Here's the post I'm referring to -

It probably will be, you're the club that most L2 fans want to see come back. And rightly so probably. Personally, I'd choose Stockport, but Wrexham's a great away day and people have fond memories of playing you.

I agree that most fans find Wrexham to be a great away day, but I'm not so sure about SOC's assertion that , and I quote, 'Wrexham is the club that most fans want to see come back. '

I'm interested to know what you chaps make of this claim. Which two NL sides do you want to win promotion, assuming of course that we'll get the chance to visit away grounds next season and that our own clubs are still a L2 club come August?

If we stay up (I would like to think we will) I would like the return of two traditional FL clubs that aren't that far away from here. Notts County going on a rampage and winning the title and Chesterfield suddenly turning on the form and winning the play-offs.

Stockport and Chesterfield I've gone for, I probably would have gone Stockport and Wrexham but if Wrexham are chucking cash at it then they'll be up there taking up one of the auto spots. Which we are obviously going to be challenging for really soon.

Chesterfield and Notts, two local clubs, nobody likes the Welsh or Stockport and Hartlepool and Torquay is too South.

I have gone for Torquay obviously, and Hartlepool simply because I was so impressed with their fans in Star Wars outfits at the last game of the season with us a few years back.

However, reading the non-league forum and elsewhere, there has to be some doubt all the fixtures will be fulfilled. Teams like Dover appear to be saying they won’t fulfil Fixtures until they get more money. it does seem things are bubbling away if not actually imploding. There has to be a small chance no teams will be coming up.

Think he’s referring to Wrecsam.
I’d like to see Torquay back up, think Stockport deserve to stay put after the weird axing of Gannon. Would rather no more money-bags or hobby clubs come up.

Well I'll vote for ourselves obviously and Hartlepool isn't a bad away day either. There are many worse.

I think we'll be at least top 7 if the season plays out, we're pretty good against other Proper Clubs but we have catastrophic wet the bed matches as well so we won't be challenging for the title.

I think it'll be Torquay and Notts. I'd definitely be happy to get Notts out the way.

A weekend in Torquay is awesome, and Stockport have done their time now.

Ive gone with Stockport and Hartlepool.

Despite the Pennines between us, we have had some fiery derby type fixtures against Stockport, on and off the field, going back to the 70's, so would love to renew rivalry with them. Good well supported club that should be in the Football League really.

Gone for Hartlepool due to some good away days up there in the past.

To be honest though, It would be good to see a couple of any of the old traditional football league clubs back up.

Stockport as they’re a similar club to us and be good to see them back.
Wrexham to reignite the rivalry. Too big of a team for the National League.

Yeah, they've done their time and some. I still want the whole Ryan Reynolds thing to turn sour somehow :bg:

Can you let the resident village idiot from Halifax know that they weren't mentioned on the list please?
Left out in the cold by fellow Brothers.
Maybe something to do with being a tin pot phoenix club.

Wrexham and Notts County for me.

One of my mates is a Wrexham fan and we’ve followed each other’s (mis)fortunes over the last 15-20 years so it’d be nice to play them again, get a couple of good weekends on the beers etc. Plus as others have said, they’ve suffered enough and I always felt there were parallels between their relegation to the Conference and ours.

County because it’s a great away day in great city and because they’re a decent club. But I wouldn’t be upset if Stockport, Torquay or Hartlepool came up as they’re all ex league clubs who’d fit well into League 2 next season.

I suspect none will come up sadly.

I’d agree with you there, stockport is easy as to get for me, as is wrexham in fairness.

Torquay for the weekend is a belter.

Surely it would be better to look forward to derby matches against local rivals than playing the likes of Eastleigh or Boreham Wood?

Top 6 is stacked with Brothers, you've almost got your pick of the litter, only Chesterfield letting the gang down.

No, no, eastleigh and boreham would be a price worth paying.

I have absolutely no idea where either of those places are (presumably somewhere poncy down south) but it’d be fun.

Tinpot Sutton to win the league and upset the brotherhood.....

You’re all going to love visiting sunny Sutton next season*

(*neither promotion or enjoyment of Sutton guaranteed)

Stockport and Wrexham. Two decent-sized clubs with decent fans.
