I am at last getting into that shallow mind of yours.
You hate everything about Bolton and i am getting to you..................you started something you cannot finish
you will always be a plastic Bolton hating woolyback.
So Wally from Wallasey give it your best
Not even putting any effort in. Couldn't give a crap about Bolton. Just think you are a sad little boy.

A lot of clubs once had names that were more appropriate for when they competed in local leagues against teams from the same city. We were called Shaddongate United, which made sense when we were just one of a few Carlisle clubs and competed against other clubs from other parts of the city. We changed our name to Carlisle United in an attempt to represent the city in regional leagues, feeling it would increase our chances of getting accepted. I'm sure a lot of clubs are the same, but others line Tranmere and Port Vale never did that. FGR did change their name to Stroud FC once, but it didn't last long.
The former owner of the pub called The Bedford by Rock Ferry station owned all variations of any football club called Birkenhead and wouldn't sell them apparently. We have had this name for over 120 years. No point changing it.

An early example of domain name squatting.

Belmont a area of Bolton......you scousers even nicked names as far back as 1884

Nothing worth nicking in Bolton me old mucca. In fact last time I visited I felt so sorry for some basket case of a football club I gave them £25 of me hard earned.

Come up with something original and not another persons comment about you. You are beneath contempt. Actually you are beneath a blind incontinent dog walkers shoe.

Slightly back on subject but I have just noticed that Tranmere has an affinity to teams from Gloucestershire:
  • In 2015 Tranmere were relegated to the NL alongside Cheltenham [Gloucestershire]
  • In 2017 Tranmere were Wembley promotion finalist against FGR [Gloucestershire]
  • In 2019 Tranmere secured promotion to EFL 1 via play-offs by beating FGR [Gloucestershire]
  • 2021 Tranmere are one of the firm favourites for promotion alongside Cheltenham [Gloucestershire] & FGR [Gloucestershire].
I would be happy if that affinity remains solid for rest of season and all three of our teams are promoted.
Well they might end up replacing Bristol Rovers...

Can probably cross our names out of this thread now. A combination of poor pitches and a lack of match sharpness in the players, I can't see us getting back into the top 7. We just haven't the momentum any more.

Shoddy !

Please wait until you have a proper bad run before writing off your chances.

We're not on a great run. Two defeats and a draw from our last three games. Honestly I just can't see it any more. I expect we'll put in better performances than those last three but can't see us building up the head of steam to keep up with teams above us.

How did Carlisle play today? Looks a good point on paper.

You sound a bit like I did three weeks ago when we hadnt won in 5.
I'm confident you can pick yourselves up again and challenge for the second spot behind runaway leaders Bolton.

We still look very rusty. First half was decent but then I didn't think Salford were that good either. We're not bad, we just don't look like a promotion challenging team at the moment and I've got a bad feeling that we'll carry on like this for the rest of the season. Anderton at least didn't give away a silly penalty today, so that's progress.

Not going full HG, but we've become an unknown quantity in the promotion race and that's a significant step down from where we were in January.

no he sounds like you did three weeks ago because you support Exeter....You said you was at Burnden park in 92
So i guess you have watched Exeter stagnate for the past 40 years.........you have that mind set.
You are not alone from the start of the season all i have heard from Exeter fans on here is yes we will reach Wembley then we will lose as per usual..............I have heard it from FGR and now Carlisle fans.
Carver is the only one who openly boasts his team will win the league. Me apart

You and others here like to bring those who are confident down to your level as said in your comment above

Enjoy you mediocrity and every five years you will be able to laugh at a football team who fall to your level before they once again leave you as they rise up the leagues

Hahaha

Face it, Bolton are destined to be L2 fodder until 2100.
