the old 'this league is awful' line :woo: makes me chuckle, the 'big' clubs always like to state this fact.
Fact the champions of lge2 this season will have lost double figure in number of games
Liverpool lost one game two seasons back and came runners up.
Yes this is a shite lge and the numbers and facts tell you that

In terms of quality I'd place it somewhere between League One and the National League.

Very true. We apparently had 65% possession in the 4-0 hammering at Cheltenham. It didn't feel like that and our first decent chance came around the 90th minute.
I think I'm right in saying we've won every game this season in which we've had less possession than the opponent, very odd one.

Tozer would be playing in step 7 if it weren't for his throw. Shitehouse football.
He has the odd mare in him as most L2 defenders do but generally he's really good, he's known for the throw obviously but he's certainly an above average defender in this league.

Going back some time there was maybe half a dozen Tranmere posters here
plus the one dickhead.
We can see you peeking in the corner

Going back the same amount of time there was just one Boltonian to be fair.

Pretty much the case with us... we've lost too many now and I'm sure we had less possession in a few of those, think we had the lowest possession in the league and were top of the table at the same time, and we had lost the few games where we had more possession.

We’ve won 6 in a row with less then 50% of the ball on all 6! Possession isn’t always the law.
Especially if most of that possession is passing along the back 4 and back in your own half.

All that tells you is the best in the Premier League are far better than the rest. It doesn't tell you how good a league is overall. All your stats suggest is that League 2 is relatively even in terms of capability - anyone can beat anyone.

Nearly forgot... fact.

The current league 2 leaders gave the current Premier League champions elect a better game then most Premier League teams do.

If anything it suggests the bottom half of the premier league is poor because the top sides beat them so regularly. So the overall quality is pretty shit.

Do many of the top 11 still have to play each other in their little auto/PO/chasing PO groups?

We’ve got Salford at home and trips to Bradford and Forest Green. Other games at Walsall and home to Barrow, both just about safe, but also home v Colchester which could be pivotal for both sides.

That argument could be used the other way round.

Liverpool were a good team in a crap league and (for instance) Cheltenham are a good team in a good league.

To be honest, I don't think the standard is as high this season but it is definitely flatter. By which I mean the teams at the bottom are better but the teams at the top are worse....and no. That was not a dig at Bolton.

To be fair to Masi he's never denied how gash Bolton have been at times.

Bolton before Christmas were as bad as they have been in there 140 year history.
We made 22 signings pre season i expect 4/5 of those to be at the club First game next season.
Whichever league we are in i expect a major overhaul we simply are not good enough. We added another 8 in January which are head and shoulders above our pre season signings. Are we a good team today..........No
We may be one if not the best team today in lge 2 but we are not good.
I dont expect many teams to survive promotion next season in league 1 unless they invest heavily
Rochdale are bottom of lge 1 Not many teams in lge 2 are better than them.

but Morecambe and Salford (and Exeter as we havn't played them) are the only teams in the top half we've not taken points off this season.

Because your no mug team are just that.......you relied on one player who got injured and you now are bang average at best.
Tranmere the same. without Vaughan
Bolton without Doyle
Cambridge without Mullin/Hoolihan

Cheltenham deserve to win the league but will return here next may......This league is awful
You'll still be here next year.

I’m surprised Kieran Lee isn’t listed above for Bolton as he’s the best player in the league.

Does feel like the top 3 is pretty much set all of a sudden. With our goal difference, 9 points from our final 6 games guarantees promotion!

We could be promoted a week on Saturday. I think, and I can't be certain as I haven't double-checked, if results go our way we could be all but up next Tuesday.

I'm almost giddy.
