RefWatch; Ref for Barnet game is the man who hates football, Sheppy's Gavin Ward, 45, a Senior Finance Business Partner with Axa. 'Card happy thundercunt' is the general consensus, as well as inconsistent, picky, weak, doesn't listen to his linesmen & pisses off players with his high foul count. Blows for anything (like his mum), sometimes blows twice a minute (like his mum), once blew for an entire 90 minutes (like his mum). Loves Wombles; reffed us 6 times & won 4; in '12 v Chesterfield (1-0); in '13 v Morecambe (2-0) & Wycombe (1-0) & away to Brizzle (L 3-0 & sent off our Sammy ); 3-2 win v Bury in '14 & 0-0 v Cambridge in Feb (both sides missed pens). Reffed Bees 5 times (2-1-2) - 14 Y & 2 pens in those games. Hates the scum - sent a scum off once. Hates them. Home win % is 65%. In 33 games last season he gave 121 Y & 9 R - very high, gives at least 2 bookings every game, & blows & blows & blows.

Should bring a decent lot down for this game.

I have a good feeling that we'll finally win a league game on the road on Saturday.

No clean sheet in the league all season and you think we wont score. Definitely on the sauce.

I'm guessing Allen will stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation that has given us two goals per game for the last 4 games. Only question for me is whether Dembele is back from injury to improve our defence.

We are playing well just not being clinical enough. Can't see us losing this one. Either a 1 all or a 2. 1. Home win.

I think the first part is true for both sides. Akinde must have some kind of record for hitting the woodwork this season.

1-1 or 1-2 defeat. Our weaknesses when defending set pieces aren't going to be resolved that quickly.

away to Brizzle (L 3-0 & sent off our Sammy)
Remember that game. Michael Smith was clear through very early on, got hacked down in the box for the clearest pen you'll ever see yet the bastard ref gave a free kick to Brizzle. If he's reffing us, combined with Tom's reminder that we never beat Barnet, then it's a 3-0 defeat for us.

I thought/hoped that our unenviable record of losing 15 straight away games in 2000/2001 wouldn't ever be threatened, but lose tomorrow and I'm not so sure. A draw will be nice, if for no other reason to stop the sequence of defeats on the road.

I'm sure it was more than 15 as the run continued a few matches into the 2001/02 season until we won at Telford.

I was only going on League fixtures, but yes,it would have been more across both seasons as we certainly lost the first game away at Hereford (?) on our return to non-league.

We lost at Farnborough as well before we won at Telford. I'm not sure whether there were any other away matches before then .

Our draw at Daggers was the result that broke our run, not the win at Telford (although that was our first away win since winning at Carlisle the previous season). We lost 17 away league matches in a row.

Horrible first half. Wimbledon do exactly what we do, but because we're shit we just do it so much worse. Had the ball up their end about 3 times that half - says it all.

Fucking horrendous. Dont even want to do a little report of that because I'll have to remember just how shit it was.

Allen is tactically so hot and cold.

We should have been out of sight by half time. Barnet were awful and dragged us down to their level.

We were awful but to be honest you lot were playing exactly the same way as us - long balls upfield, especially when Akinfenwa came on. I'd hardly say we were played off the park, we just gave you everything.

Both goals shouldn't have counted. The free kick leading up to the first goal was never a free kick and the second was offside. How on earth we can football league officials who don't know the offside rule beggars belief.

In the end though we didn't deserve anything from it because we're crap and Allen is tactically inept.

Nah we pissed all over you first 45. We only went long when we lost the plot slightly.

Also am I mistaken or did I hear some booing from AFC fans when Akinfenwa came on? If I'm right, what was that all about?

Also not sure why MA stormed off down the tunnel without acknowledging the fans as he usually does. Everyone in general (rightly) seems to have lost the plot regarding that shocker today.

It's not his fault but Muggleton really does need to be kept well away from the bench. Put a youth teamer on there instead, he offers literally nothing except a long throw, which today was useless as everything else in the air was being defended so easily.
