RefWatch; Ref for Pompey game is Andy Madley, 33, a teacher from Huddersfield. FL ref since '11. His brother Bob is a FL ref too, so their mum goes out every day with a bag over her head & quietly sobs herself to sleep at night. As well as teaching, himself & Bob train kids to be refs, so there is definitely a special place in Hell for them, right next to Boris & the Wandsworth Tories in the Womble Revenge section. He mainly refs Championship games, so it's no surprise the FA have given him a L2 Sky TV game, cos we wouldn't want the general public to see the usual fat, slow, idiotic, picky shite we normally get on a Saturday (hi Trevor!) because whole families would run screaming from their homes, then Sky's share price would plummet leading to the economy collapsing, then the government would fall & the Germans would invade again.

Reffed Wombles 5 times; 0-0 draw with Darlo in Jan '11; the 2-1 away win v Cambridge in April '11; the fantastic 6-1 second leg playoff win v Fleetwood in May '11; the 2-0 away win v Daggers in '11 (our first away win back in the FL) & the 5-2 humping by Creepy in Oct '11. What a fantastic day that was; Bush scored an OG after 3 minutes, McNaughton was in defence so would have been at fault for the other 4; future much loved Womble Bullman scored twice for them & future not so much loved Womble Tubbs got another (a penalty after McNaughton handled, shocker), future scum manager (it will happen soon) Fatty McFraudster was their manager & That c*** Hopeless came on as a sub (and got an assist, bastard), plus they had a future scum in defence. Such wonderful memories. Hates the scum. Reffed them once & they lost & he sent a scum off. Top man. Hates them. Reffed Pompey twice; 1-0 home win v Tranny in '13 & 3-0 away loss to Plymouth in '14. Home win % is 50%. In 33 games this season he has given 97 Y & 3 R - average.

AnagramWatch; Andrew Madley = Dry Me Anal Dew. Dad Were Manly.
KettleWatch; AWOL again, sitting at home playing with his tiny whistle.

Our good run seems a distant memory 7 wins in 8, has now turned into 1 win in 7. And that's down to a last gasp worldy.
I fancy the pampered little poppets to perform in front of the cameras.
Narrow home win.

picked 4-0 wins out of my arse the last 2 games for us, so going for a 1-1 draw this time.

Happy Easter to all the Wombles, don't eat too much Chocolate, we dont want to be fat like Hartlepool supporters :bg:

Gone. A bit damp underfoot allegedly. Blame Boris.

Wont be on the terrace to not see the game again this season.
Would have tried for a seat ticket but am out of the country anyway.
Need to finish the season strong would be nice to get a big win here after loosing 4-0 the other year. We don't normally build on a big result though so I'd guess 1-1

High winds and an absolute deluge overnight. I arrived at the ground just as it was called off and the Pompey supporters coaches a few minutes later.

Bet they were delighted with that call! Couldn't they have decided earlier?!

The pitch inspection was at 9:15. The coaches turned up 3 hours before kick-off when apparently they're not supposed to arrive more than 2 hours before. Yes, they'd have been on the road but nowhere near South London.
