RefWatch; Ref for Pompey game is Andy Madley, 33, from Yorkshire. FL ref since 2011. Teacher from Huddersfield, and says he enjoys organising day trips for the kids to the local zoo. Sounds thrilling Andy, and I'm sure if dear old League 2 were a zoo, us Wombles would be the insane monkey wanking vigorously whilst chucking his shit at passers by (which takes great skill, I've tried so often), and surely Northampton would be the noble lion making an astonishing bid for freedom, but we all know they will soon be back where they belong, encaged in this L2 shithole with a tranquiliser dart in its arse & shattered dreams (probably by Christmas, eh, Cobblers); Pompey would be the strutting peacock with ideas far above their station and with an astonishing amount of enemies & unpaid bills for a fucking peacock; Leyton Orient would be the tormented elephant, still proud but with a particularly cruel & abusive alcoholic owner who makes it do awful things in front of its loyal, horrified spectators; Wycombe would be the sad little meerkat in the corner sucking its own dick, and poor Daggers & York would be the half dead penguins about to be fed the the gorillas.

Reffed Wombles 5 times; 0-0 draw with Darlo in Jan '11; 2-1 away win v Cambridge in April '11; the fantastic 6-1 second leg playoff win v Fleetwood in May '11; 2-0 away win v Daggers in '11 & the fabulous 5-2 humping by Creepy in Oct '11. Reffed Pompey twice; 1-0 home win v Tranny in '13 & 3-0 away loss to Plymouth in '14. Hates the scum. Reffed them once & they lost & he sent a scum off. Top man. Hates them. What a fantastic day yesterday was, them getting relegated & us getting play-offs. Truly amazing how many other clubs fans really hate them after all this time, everyone hates the scum. Home win % is 50%. In 33 games this season he has given 97 Y & 3 R - average.

AnagramWatch; Andrew Madley = Dry Me Anal Dew. Dad Were Manly.
KettleWatch; Reffing Man City v Real Madrid on Tuesday. In his dreams.

These Ref watches are just getting better every week :10:
Not too sure about this one, a point would be great, 3 would be fantastic. Play-offs here we come

I'd take a draw here given what has happened during our previous two visits and the fact it would keep Wimbledon behind us with just two to play. A Paul Robinson own goal would be nice.

Looks like the winner will play us in the playoffs. I don't mind either way really. Probably take Portsmouth due to current Wombles form and the fact that they somehow seem to have even less character than us.

Draw or Pompey win please. Wimbledon are in too much form and need to be put in their place. Otherwise I'm now worried they'll do what we did in 07 and have the best form and just dominate the L2 play offs.

Id be happy with a point here. Don't really care who we get in the playoffs as its such a lottery. However its nice to hit them as a form team.

Wimbledon win please, so then we play Plymouth and Mansfield under no pressure at all and no pressure means we can beat both.

Ps - btw, I don't see anything bar a Dons win in this game.

If we win you won't be able to get playoffs.

No shit Sherlock.

Vanni is one of the fans who have given up and therefore want to watch us play friendly games until the end of the season. I'd personally prefer something to be riding on the games. But that's just me I guess.....

Yep. 4-0 win for Pompey and a red card for Lyle Taylor would be just peachy.

Of course we won't make the playoffs but I'd prefer to have a little bit of excitement over the next fortnight, rather than an additional two preseason friendlies.

I think we will lose and I don't really mind too much, I think bringing us back down to earth would be good

can't see anything past a defeat here, cook has confirmed a much changed side due to, ahem.. "injuries"; this being cooks way obviously of saying he's resting our key players. This being a concept i don't wholly grasp, i think if you wanna win these play offs you wanna be in great form on the crest of a wave. Much like our opponents tonight... 2-0 or 3-1

I'd take a point now considering the lineup we'll have out tonight.

Pompey win, then repeat in the play-off final. That would be AFCW's first trip to Wembley?

We have been poor so far. Portsmouth very dominant. Look like we already think it's done.

Keeper injured as well now. Not looking good for play offs. That 5 potential first team players out. Hopefully he's playing games and resting those in need. Can't see that Roberts would have started if that was the case though

i think with cook not resting roberts or doyle, perhaps they're the sort of players who take a while to get back into the swing of things in terms of match sharpness if he took them out? just a thought

Just seen your post Laker. Nah, I would welcome the play offs just don't think we have a chance is all. I can't see the Wombles failing to get the two points they need considering who they have to play in their final two games. But I would never turn down the chance to feature in the po's just because we aren't the finished article yet and won't stand a chance of going up, like some of our fans believe. That would be foolish as one never knows.

But yeah, I reckon we fare better when we play with no pressure at all, so I think we stand a good chance of beating Plymouth and Mansfield.

Much better second half. Should have scored with chances we had. Could still Nick a point.

I agree but that's largely pointless - I'd rather we won games that meant something.

Anyway, our season has been prolonged by another 4 days. Cheers Pompey. :)

Lost this game by not turning up until half time. Overall fair result but on chances we had a point would not have been totally undeserved.

Pompey deserved winners on the night, solid in defence. Never really gave our strikers much of a chance.

Strange decisions by the ref, both ways. Michael Smith can count himself a little lucky to only get a yellow for the challenge on Charles.
Build up to the Pompey goal, the was a definite foul on Rigg.

Well take revenge in the play-offs.

We got more than I expected tonight with a few players out aswell. If only we could stop being so inconsistent, rewind 7 days and we'd lost at York.

Nice way to start the morning. We watched a film last night and went to bed without checking the result.

In truth, I'd rather be going into games that might mean something, even if we don't win. I have difficulty seeing a scenario where we win both remaining games and Dons can't pick up at least 2 points - but happy to be going into saturday with a chance. It should put a few more on the gate and improve the atmosphere - should be the biggest away following and biggest crowd of the season.

Is it too much to ask those wonderful guys :hypo: at Stevenage to start and win a war on saturday?

Nope but it will be too much to ask newport to stop us winning on the last day.

Does look as if its going to be a battle of the muff for one of the playoff semis. Can we play both legs at Fratton Park please?
