He's just a very angry lad, never seen him even moderately happy.

because you hate Wrexham?
I’d actually like Wrexham to go up alongside us, you lot have just developed this weird complex about yourselves that runs through the entire fan base, it’s strange

Nice, original burn there. I've not heard that one before.
In pontoonlew’s defence a bit here I think he meant it as that the thread was about worst non league decision as opposed to a decision in a World Cup.
Although he definitely doesn’t seem to like Wrexham too much also.

Or Stockport.

Are we certain he supports Grimsby and not Chesterfield? Someone check.

What's this weird complex? That we're reasonably happy? To be fair that isn't acceptable down here so I get your point.

This bizarre notion that everybody hates you, everybody raises their game for you and other teams crowds turn up because it’s you.

I thought it was some slightly weird joke on here but it turns out you lot actually believe it

I’ve found the clip of our injustices at Salford last season if anyone’s bothered (actually found it to post on a thread on the League 2 forum about referees) and it’s actually about a minute and a half and one decision is missed off it - John Lewis with an injury time tap in so a defender just pushed him out of the way which the guy has added below this Tweet.
I know we were shite last year but refs like this weren’t what we needed in a relegation battle, and of course after all these decisions Salford went and equalised in the 88th minute.

Thought most fans didn't give a shit about us to be honest. Are you telling me you've been taking posts on here seriously?

Nah I hadn’t done until I’d realised it wasn’t just you lot on here, it turns out it’s a large proportion of your fan base, even Bryn Law was at it!

Football fans being deluded nd getting carried away shocker.

For every Wrexham fan who thinks that, there are others who think we are no better than last year. There are a few who wish we were still trust owned and that the takeover was a bad thing. The vast majority are probably somewhere in the middle.

Just have a look on The Fishy, plenty of your fans getting carried away with your good start. Its just football fans. High highs low lows.

He was offside from the header from the defender from his own half, surely.

No idea what the rules would have been at the time but at a guess, he was not interfering with play from the first header, and only became active from the second header.

The most bizarre goal I have ever seen was when we played Coventry, few years ago. We were given a free kick for offside, about 10 yards from the half way line. Our centre half put the ball down to take it, then our goalie trotted out of his area to take it. Centre half rolled it back to him to take it, Coventry player nipped in and took the ball round the bemused keeper and rolled it into the empty net. After consulting the linesman, the goal stood! A simple solution for the ref would have been to make us take it again since he hadn't blown for the kick to be taken. The ref was suspended by the league, and as far as I am aware, hasn't refed another league game.

Genuine question - does the referee have to blow the whistle to signal restart of play for an indirect free kick in defensive half?

I'm fairly sure they changed the rules a decade or so ago to ensure referees blow to signal the restart for direct free kicks (following a couple of PL goals scored in this manner). Think it may otherwise be discretionary.

Signed: A Pedant. Not fun at parties.

Worst decision has to be when the ref called off our game against Maidstone because a load of their players had set off too late to make it in time for kickoff but despite them having enough players at the ground to start the game the ref decided to postpone it. We lost the rearranged game.
