It's a bad result sure, but against a form team.
And with ten men for an hour.
We've had plenty of worse results over the last few seasons.
We need to bounce back with a win at Dover for sure now.
Yeovil’s Twitter really taking the piss too with a couple of ‘always Sonny’/‘Hollywood football’ references.

Very bad night at the office for Wrexham.

Birds eye overviews have to be simplistic, by their nature, it doesn't mean they don't shed light on glaring issues mate. It's a bad result however you dress it, and it's not the first one. I think that manager has to be feeling the pressure

what other results have been particularly bad this year? we lost at Maidenhead to a last minute goal (and were down to ten men) Grimsby beat us at their place when they were on good form. Losing to Stockport at their place wasn't that good I guess.

None of those were good results but without ever really hitting top gear we haven't had any really bad results. Everyone seems to make out that we are having a really bad season but we could have gone third tonight?

I'm sure he's feeling the pressure but let's have a bit of perspective here...

I think you’ll finish higher, but you are obviously having a bad season relatively to what was expected/the investment means should be happening.

But my point is, that apart from the Hollywood Reds of this world that expectation is coming from fans of other clubs- any of us who have been paying attention for the last 13 years knew it was not going to be a quick fix.

We've been largely useless since that Fleetwood season.

Chesterfield bullies out in force. Let us grieve in peace!
The only thing that gets them posting on here more than a Chesterfield win or dissing their financial decisions is a Wrexham loss.

Who's suggested you're having a really bad season? Any result that isn't a W is a bad one for you though surely, especially at home. Even you yourself said you fully expected the points tonight. Something is not quite right, whether more money can fix it, I guess January will tell

Playoffs would be a solid start then move from there.

I did back that premier league in 5 years bet though so I'll be furious if that doesn't come in.

Not necessarily.
As English Red said, a large part of the squad is leftover from last season.
We have bought in some expensive players, some of whom aren't performing to their price tags yet.
I think we need to see what happens in the January window as that will likely bring in the quality we are currently lacking and push some of the leftovers down the pecking order.
Can't judge how bad a season we are having relative to our expenditure until it ends I guess...

Sounds like it would have been nil nil until the red card. Yeovil defence are miserly and we do struggle to get going at home- but they didn't look like scoring by all accounts.

Typical Wrexham to do this though. Happens every time.
You got that right -- It was nil nil before the red card.

Certain Wrexham fans pivoting on Chesterfield fans for no reason instead of talking about the game of the thread in question. Odd, but not unexpected. Tedious c***

The things that aren't right:

Jury still out on Parkinson- possibly not the right manager for this league- id have tried to get Challinor in the summer myself

No midfield- it was a problem last season and we released Jay Harris and only brought in James Jones- we need to add a lot more quality

Injury prone first choice keeper and deputy not good enough.

Squad still carrying players like Devonte Redmond amd Dan Jarvis who aren't good enough.

You finished 8th!

This isn’t a dig at Wrexham fans btw, I think you largely get it, but I’m fairly sure that the people running it thought that signing Mullin/Tozer/Hayden/Jones and appointing Parkinson would be the title guaranteed, because that’s basically the only reason you’d make those signings.

Parkinson has never been right for us. Mullin winning him games has masked over a lot.

They've lost a game. That's hot supposed to happen. They've got Mullin super Paul Mullin after all.

Who's to blame, the previous manager, or this one? Previous regime, or this one? I'd still expect Wrexham to be top 3 minimum, I guess it all depends if you trust the current manager to get the right people in, spend enough cash though and it doesn't really matter who the manager is does it!

Did you honestly just call us that? Bit much don't you think?

Assume you didn't mean cock.

Stockport County.
It's still tight as anything up there with loads still to play for. There will be loads of twists and turns. Yeovil aren't a bad side looking at their results and the red card will have turned that match.

I happen to think that Parkinson is alright but doesn't sound like he's convinced many Wrexham fans yet. They would have gone for Challinor so pleased the timing allowed us to jump in first.
