When you have to look at Google maps to find out where some of the teams are located. Especially but not restricted to North Ferriby & Brackley.

PS. sorry if this is a a repeat.

Some of the things I will miss now we’re in the Football League and what I have missed during our time in the strange hybrid which is the National League are:
- League games being moved to accommodate county cup matches
- Ball boys/girls in high vis jackets wearing a Man Utd/Liverpool/Chelsea shirt underneath
- Buying a warm beverage from the food hut served in an actual mug
- Directing players to the opposition ‘stadium’ on away days
- People watching the game near the club bar with a pint in hand to get access to that nights Champions League game on television
- Getting excited about drawing a National League team in the FA Trophy
- Considering a run to the FA Cup 4th qualifying round as a ‘good cup run’
- Having to play in an FA Cup qualifying round.
- Your teams best player having to miss a game due to work
- Random trialists playing in pre-season friendlies.
- Club committee members in their club blazers among the away support
- Changing ends at halftime
- The horror of coming across opposition fans who refuse to switch ends at halftime and the existential crisis that creates

Leave the funnies to others, I noticed you’ve had a few in this thread and they’ve all bombed.

Having had my first taste of Football League as a Barrow fan, trust me when I say you won't miss any of it, even though we will probably be back at some point.

Since you will most likely be the first visiting fans to enjoy our new fanzone you will never want to go back to non league.

You know you're non-league when you're a league below the following teams;-

Barrow, Harrogate, Crawley, FGR, Sutton United, Stevenage and Salford.....

If only it was that bad, we've actually been 2 leagues below some of those and in 2013/4 & 2014/5 we were 3 leagues below Crawley.

... Beating Rochdale in the FA Cup is regarded as "Giant Killing" :)

I hate that. Our three biggest cup games in the last few years have come against Brighton, Brentford and Stoke, teams we would regularly play in the league all through the 80s and 90s.

You know you’re non league team when you no longer have to take part in the abomination that is the Papa John’s trophy in front of 150 fans. :woo:

Stockport is a town within Greater Manchester with a population of just under 300,000, which is famous for making hats. Hope this helps.

I'm sure you knew I meant it rhetorically. Didn't know about the hats mind.

You should ask some of your fellow supporters as I think one year a car load of them actually managed to find their way to Edgeley Park.
Its by the River Mersey, you could get the train to Runcorn and row there.

Alternatively you could just get a train to Stockport instead. BTW the Mersey actually starts just outside the town centre where the Tame and Goyt join.

Thinking about the exercise. Until Everton build their new mid table home Stockport County will have the closest professional football ground to the Mersey and that must be something to boast about.
