Because I'm sad I had a look for the FA rules on sponsorship and it seems that you can have one sponsor's logo up to 250 square cm on the front of the shirt. That Paddy Power logo is massively bigger than that surely.
I think the timing is down to Gray's contract, which presumably would have been up in a few weeks when he would have been at the club for a year. It seems that the board have told Gray that the contract would not be renewed, and he's left rather than see it out. Probably a good move for everyone...

We're also supposed to play against Darlington and Middlesbrough as part of deals for players.
At some point this might become a good idea, but right now it isn't. Many questions spring to mind.
1. What league is this club going to appear in? Where is the money coming from? Even NCEL div 1 sides need a budget.
2. Where are they going to play? Nowhere in York is suitable, unless...
It seems that there was some interest, but nothing concrete. Looks increasingly as though the club was never really for sale. Gray has been carrying on regardless as if he had the faintest idea what the budget for next season would be.

It's not mathematically done yet, but you'd imagine that's our season over. Will no doubt be confirmed on Saturday, which will also mark the end of my time as a season ticket holder until there are some radical changes.
