Ha, shall I stick the Halifax game up for you. It was a little dig at the City fan who's posted a video from their recent game.

Went to la manga went to halifax never watched fuck all of either. Friendlies are a joke there just an excuse for a piss up.

A mostly reserve side have literally just beaten Murcia (Spanish 2nd tier) 3-1 in La Manga.
Freeman, Vyner and Garita scored for us.

Famous comeback this evening to beat Guiseley 4-3 from 3-0 down. Was the weaker of our two teams for our games this weekend but still had enough on show not to go 3 down in 20 mins or so (albeit with Diagouraga and a nobody at centre half).

Stokes, Botaka, Phillips and Doukara scored.

Stronger side go to Peterborough later.

Contrary to popular belief that we cancelled a friendly with Grimsby because we have no player, we cancelled to play Tottenham Thursday. Lost 3-1.

Got told we only went to view some potential loanees and see what Spurs were saying about Grant Ward.

Sunderland today, with Moyes to attend.

1-0 up and looking good at Peterborough. Mowatt scored. Roofe taking the piss. Looks potentially a great signing if he doesn't get injured

Complete role reversal in the second half and lost 2-1.

First time the players have gone past 60 mins but still some very questionable defending (albeit with injuries etc.). Already knew that was our weakness but at least we showed in the first half a decent style of play with some good attacking stuff.

We only have one left too...Atalanta at home next Saturday. Monk only gone for 5 games (no player could play in more than 4) which is a little low but he says he doesn't want burnout and prefers more work on the training ground.

Still seem some way off but often things look much better come the first proper game.

We played our genuine-ish first pre-season friendly today and won 2-0 comfortably so I hear.

It was still two very mixed sides, definitely not the XI that will play together on the first game of the season, but it seems like there is some promising signs.

Darren Bent, who I imagine will get a lot more game time this season, scored. Ince got an assist and a goal for himself. Hendrick with the other assist.

Pearce, who hasn't played a league game for us yet, played the full 90 minutes with Keogh coming on for Shackell. It seems like he's been bumped up to third choice defender and Buxton is off to Wigan.

Drew 1-1 with a strong Stoke side today. Didn't go but sounds like we played pretty well.

Morecambe on Tuesday night and Bolton on Saturday our last 2 friendlies.

Comfortably beat Portuguese top flight side Nacional 4-0 over in Portugal, goals from Forestieri, a double from Hooper and Steven Fletcher scoring his first Wednesday goal. Watched it on a stream and we look very good, the players seem even better now they've had a full year together, Marco Matias is like a brand new signing.

Just lost 3-2 to second division side Portimonense over in Portugal, made a lot of changes as you'd expect having only played 24 hours previous, quite a youthful team. Went 3-0 down but Forestieri and Fletcher scored to bring the score back, good training exercise for the players. We move onto our final warm up game against Port Vale at Hillsborough on Sunday

Beat Cheltenham 2-1 at their place tonight. Kodjia and Tomlin with the goals, Tomlin had a 'ghost goal' not given supposedly, similar to the one Sears had not given against us for Palarse a few year back.

Tidy finish by Kodjia though part of me is thinking the goalkeeper could have done more, he was forced into a bad situation by the run/defences failure to spring the offside trap.
Think Lucic could have done better with the first shot instead of spilling it for the second goal we scored, though Johnson has described him as "a punt". A loan for him at Cheltenham would be good really, they need a 'keeper and he needs to play, perhaps next year he will be near the first team.
