I'll raise you Bobby Reid's strike. I'm sure it'll be put up later. Sounded a belter.
The rest of it sounds boring as hell! If LJ was hoping someone would force him to rethink the first 11, I would guess he's disappointed.

Our ressies beat Bath City 1 nil tonight. Sounded awful and Luke Freeman missed a penalty.
Bobby Reid scored an absolute belter by all accounts.

Beat Southend 2-0. 3 clean sheets in 4 games which is promising.

Mitchell, Hanson, Baird, Peace, Forsyth, Hendrick, Bryson, Russell, Lowe, Weimann and Bent started tonight in a 2-1 win over Chesterfield. Darren Bent scored again and Rawson with the second, three minutes after coming on.

It leaves a stronger side of Carson, Christie, Keogh, Shackell, Olsson, Johnson, Butterfield, Hughes, Camara, Blackman, Ince and Martin all involved tomorrow against Sheffield United.

First team drew 0-0 against Burslem's finest on Saturday. Reserves lost 2-1 at Northampton tonight.

Swansea at home our final friendly on Saturday, hoping for a few signings before then.

Beat Cambridge 3-0 today, Hepburn-Murphy, Sinclair and Gardner with the goals. Really hopeful about Gardner finally fulfilling his potential (cue another season ending fucking injury....), and Hepburn-Murphy looks a tidy player too.

Would love to see a lot of our players coming through to be honest, in the team we could be looking at Green, Grealish, Hepburn-Murphy, Gardner, Lyden, Toner, Agbonlahor, Baker and Clark all getting game time, and all have come through our academy! People wonder why we go on about our academy... Fair enough, a few of 'em might not make it (Grealish if he doesn't sort his fucking attitude for a start), but it's bloody encouraging to have that many pushing for a first team spot. Also, yes, before any one says, I am aware that Clark, Agbonlahor and Baker aren't exactly kids any more, but that's not the point I was making.

Drew 1-1 with QPR last night. Very competitive game in which I thought we were the better side for most of its duration.

We've got back to back games against Reading and Cardiff this weekend. Can't make either, but judging by the sides put out in our two games to date I think Howe is picking players and their positions out of a hat whilst we nurse a few niggles. Expect even more randomness with having to split our squad in two. Was hoping Kermorgant might get a run out against us but I gather he's not fit either.

Is Elphick fit and playing ok?

Had a great laugh at Port Vale last night, we won the game 2-0 but that was a bit of a side show to the needle in the game, there were multiple mass pile in brawls on the pitch, 3 Vale players went off in the first half injured thanks to poor challenges from Davies, a penalty, a bit of after goal celebration sourness with the Vale defender....in a league game there'd have been at least 3 sendings off IMO, it was all a bit bizarre, but made a pretty dull game worth watching.

Good fun.

Been brilliant from everything I've seen/heard, played most of our pre-season games since we signed him from you, looks like it'll be him and Baker in the centre back positions if the pre-season line ups are anything to go by. God help any strikers against those pair, proper old fashioned centre back pair.

Have our only home friendly of pre season against Vitesse Arnhem tomorrow. Our last run out before the big day one on Friday!

Decent trip to Austria to finish our pre season, drawing 0-0 with Werder Brewer and beating Ingolstadt 1-0 today, 2 mid table Bundesliga sides, promising.

We play Vale on Sunday, think we should rest Forestieri

Drew 1-1 at home to Bournemouth in our final pre-season game.

We look much better at keeping possession now, got some good players in who can hold onto the ball. Defence looks as weak as last season (which is hardly shocking considering it was one of our weaker areas and we've barely addressed it).

I still find it strange that we're hosting Port Vale, although not quite as strange as St Mirren last season.

Likely to be our reserves to be honest as we host Man United XI tomorrow at VP (expecting to give his favoured squad for next weekend 90 mins)

Vale, has something to do with Carlos's relationship with the vale manager. Fellow Portuguese or worked together somewhere? Still would have made more sense at their place though.

probably held at yours for bigger attendance, so more gate receipts to split
